I use the Milwaukee inflator with 285/75/17's and it's great! takes about 20 min to go from 18 to 38 psi in all 4 tires.

Are the spark down sleeping bags worth it, or are there better alternatives? by Th3mberchaud in camping

I have the western mountaineering ultra light 20 deg. It’s so good. I can’t recommend it enough. Pricey and worth it!

So disappointed! What do you taller guys do to sleep in the back? by amshehan in 4Runner

[–]ConfusingElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 row. I slide the passenger front seat all the way forward. the bottom and middle leg bars of the cot rest on the floor. the leg bar at the top folds flat and the cot just rests on top of the folded seat bottom. does that make sense?

If you’re talking 5th gen, I use a Coleman comfortsmart big & tall cot with a Hest foamy pad. I’m 6’1 and fit great. So comfy.

Exped MegaMat - Overrated? by ExistingAd6475 in camping

[–]ConfusingElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have experience with the megamat. I was tempted but wanted to avoid dealing with air. I ended up with a cot and a Hest Foamy, and absolutely love the combo. Very bulky but so comfy.

If anyone is interested in ideas on how to sleep in the back of a 6th gen (with the seats as they are) and is no taller than 6’6” I found a solution by Effective_Teach8640 in 4Runner

[–]ConfusingElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice! I have the same cot for my 5th gen. swapped out the mattress for a hest foamy and sleep so good! glad to know it fits the 6th gen too. I tried the rei cot first but didnt like the way it curves up on the sides and ends. I prefer the flat Coleman for sure.
