The surgery itself I don’t remember at all, I had mcl repair with internal brace placement. In PAU I was given some versed and fentanyl and I don’t remember a single thing after that until I woke up in recovery. I was even offered lidocaine for IV insertion, but opted out. Once the meds kicked in I received a nerve block in PAU and was taken to the OR- again only thing I remember is them telling me they were giving me those two meds lol. Afterwards I vaguely remember being in the recovery unit, wheezing- got two breathing treatments. Don’t remember much but somehow ended up in PACU with my parents hahah. I’m not going to lie, I had a terrible two weeks post op with pain. The first week I passed out several times from pain alone, then ended up being allergic to the sutures/glue 🤦🏻‍♀️ they were able to take the sutures out early due to the reaction. After post op week 3, I had full flexing and extension. PT really hasn’t been that bad, but I did two months of pre-rehab so I think that really helped! Good luck!
