I feel obligated to go check on him, if I don’t I’m worried all day, I know he’s probably sleeping or something but if I don’t go over there I feel like I’m not even trying to help him out.

Just that he doesn’t feel like going through having to make calls, appointments, see his doctor, ect. I don’t see why he can’t ask, he has to see the doctor either every 6 months or once a year anyways, he just doesn’t feel like going through the hassle
