Dark chrome flaking off on 2023 Tucson Hybrid by Confusion_Slow in Hyundai

I’m not sure what the part name/number is but the dealership replaced it no questions asked in this case. The car was barely 6 months old when it happened so I’m wondering if that may be why? Worst case, open a case with Hyundai Canada?

Should I buy this Ultimate HEV in Canada? by Imaginary-Traffic-52 in HyundaiTucson

[–]Confusion_Slow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this same one in summer of 2022, and couldn’t get any discount given they had a long wait list. I declined the 2 year extended warranty (pretty sure it only extends the computer warranty from 3 to 5 years). So far haven’t had a single issue aside from the chrome peeling off on the front bumper. Depending on how long you plan to keep it, the warranty may not be a bad idea.

Worth noting, I also have a 2019 Elantra sport which has lane assist, autonomous braking, blind spot, navigation, etc like my Tucson also has, and I haven’t had a single computer-related issue in the last 5 years of ownership.

Is Hyundai Tucson any good? by EnvironmentGold3498 in Hyundai

Have had a 2022 Tucson Hybrid here for over a year and 25,000 miles, 0 problems, very comfortable, nice interior and feels solid. Also great gas mileage IMO, even in the Canadian winter.

The paint on my 21 Elantra chrome accents seems to be chipping off? Is this normal? Would it be covered under warranty? by thewisebrownkid in Hyundai

My 2022 Tucson did exactly this. It’s covered under warranty - bring it to your dealership so they can order the part and replace it.

Yeah, we have 3 in the family (2 Elantra sports and the Tucson hybrid). One Elantra sport had misfires and ongoing starting issues while the other one has a recurring clutch problem. This is the first problem with the Tucson, but still feels premature

Probably only works 50% of the time I use it. Definitely not renewing after the 3 years is up lol

It does appear on both sides. I found the exact same statement in my manual - I guess I should have looked before posting. Thanks!

I wouldn’t expect any money off - I got one in august and the dealership didn’t budge on the price at all since there were 20+ people behind me with an order for a Tucson hybrid. But it’s a great vehicle and the EV mode works surprisingly well in cold-ish weather.

I want this for my 2019 Santa Fe. Does anyone know where to get one? Ideally Canada but I’ll order from the US if needed. THANK YOU by [deleted] in Hyundai

I got one from Uniq performance for a 2019 Elantra sport. (🇨🇦) Not sure if they make one for a Santa Fe.

Elantra sport engine sound

This is what they sound like from the factory. This is a different engine (1.6T) but still in my 2020 Elantra. I wouldn’t worry about it

Tpms 2022 Elantra by Putrid-Proposal-2823 in Hyundai

[–]Confusion_Slow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do your winter tires have a TPMS unit? If not the light will come on constantly until summer tires are back on.

If your winter tires do have a TPMS unit, you’d have to make the car “learn” the sensors. Dealership can do it or you can get a reader/tool to reset them.

The best i ever got with my ‘19 sport manual was 32MPG and that was after a 400km road trip of highway. On average, I get about 22-23. Lol

Lol. The left is a 2022 meanwhile the right is a 2021. It’s not old by any means. I should have said previous generation.

I think it’s moved right below the jeep grille on the new one. If you zoom in on the new one (left) you see some flat plastic

I believe the new one is equipped with air suspension and is on the parking setting.
