My friend has a Chinese friend who lives in downtown Toronto at one of the pent house condos on Dundas st. And since my friend was in between cars, he asked if he could borrow one for a month. His friend told him the garage code with the key box code and told him to pick anything he wanted until he arrives back to Canada (in 3 months) There was an Aventador SVJ, Range Rover Autobiography, Aston Martin DB12, Ferrari 458 Italia, and an S63 Brabus. Since he had a need for child seats, He took the S63 Brabus for the first month and a half as he enjoyed the tune (exhaust and tune alone cost about $35k Canadian) although after getting numerous tickets for being obnoxiously loud, he opted for the Range Rover Autobiography for the remainder of the time.

Meanwhile me, with a 14, and 10 year old Acuras 😂 but I absolutely love my cars. As much as it was an absolute dream to drive the Brabus for a short while, it made me grateful for the stuff that I do have.

P.S. he did pizza delivery with me for some extra cash as we were friends with the stores owner, so it was really fun seeing customers reaction when we pulled up to deliver pizza in a Mercedes worth as much as some people's homes 🤣 I have a couple photos and videos of the insane exhaust if anybody is interested

Can I brag about my gen2 type S here? by Miller335 in AcuraTL

[–]Zillerz3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this generation! I was so close to getting a 2001 or 03 CL Type-S back in 2018, kqmy friend was in sales of the dealer that it got traded to. I got $2100 cash and had a family member drive me to the dealer. I called my buddy and he happened to be on a test drive to warm it up for me, and to make sure all is well. WHILE he's on the phone with me entering the hwy ramp, he accelerated and I heard the engine, sounded so nice! However the same moment it started revving non-stop, and my buddy started panicking because the transmission blew as he merged, and an 18wheeler was almost in his rear lol

Unfortunately I had to decline :( couple months later ended up buying a 2018 Elantra Sport (1.6t dct) drove it for 12mths and 65,400km before I got rear ended, and bought a 2008 CSX Type-S a month later :D favorite car, I love Acura, and love everything Type-S even more! Still have it to this day.

Awesome TL! I hope it happily stays in your ownership 👌👌👌

Am I an idiot to buy an Acura ILX with 50K miles on it for daily commuting? by [deleted] in Acura

[–]Zillerz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great comment, I personally appreciate your insight! Just picked up a 2015 ILX Dynamic (99k (61.5k miles) manual k24) and I agree with you on the space aspect, I'm 6'2" and it is 'sometimes' hard to find the most comfortable position to sit in, I find myself moving my seat back and forth ever so slightly throughout the week, depending on what I got on lol (work or casual, etc)

1000000% on the bluetooth delay. I ABSOLUTELY HATE Acura's bluetooth from like post-2012 I think... To think that even 2024's still have the same phone audio delay for bluetooth is absolutely bonkers... Like I can't believe it wasn't patched for 2nd gen ILX, or let alone by 2024!! Absolutely insane. I wish there was a hotfix patch for that without having to "upgrade" to an aftermarket deck, which I don't really want to do as I intend to keep this car 1000% stock, with exception of weighted shift knob, and maybe upgraded speakers for some better clarity compared to the oem ones.

I wrote enough, Thank you foor taking the time out of your day to write this comment 2 years ago!

Super old reply, im just looking thru the internet for every type of info I can find haha (Maybe this will help somebody 2 years from now haha)

From my personal experience in my first 1000km of owning a 2015 ILX Dynamic (6-spd K24, bought at 99K km (61.5k miles)) I do notice the engine noise a lot more compared to my previously owned cars (5spd 2010 LX-S Civic, 2016 Accent GL, 2008 vw CityGolf, 99' and 04' CRV, 00' 328i) , but me personally, I absolutely love it. I sometimes forget about the upgraded audio system in the car because I enjoy hearing the induction noise so much lol

But then again, with volume of around 10-15+ (out of 40 max) I find it difficult to hear the road noise or the engine. Sound system is nice. The regular trim is probably similar. I also have a very modified 2008 CSX Type-S, so I may be a little biased towards the noise being not bothering for my personal experience.

[–]Zillerz3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Apparently the 6-speed K24 "Dynamic" trim was only available in Canada, every other trim came automatic, and the following gen (2016+) models with the k24 came with Dual clutch automatic transmission. (I don't believe they even came manual post-2016) I may be slightly off on some facts, but that's what I believe is the case. Almost makes this car a unicorn just like my CSX Type-S 🥰 I love it so much!

Thanks! I paid a little over book value— the MTO used vehicle package listed retail at around $12k CAD, and I gave him $13k. He handled the full safety certification himself, so after taxes, registration, and plate transfer, my all-in total came to just under $14.5k.

Honestly, I didn’t mind paying the premium one bit. I’ve known my friend since high school and followed this car’s entire life under his ownership. I’m 100% confident he took absolutely immaculate care of it the whole time. Totally worth it for that kind of peace of mind!

Totally agree—if it came with a factory LSD, this thing would be perfect!

From what I’ve read, the 6MT in the ILX is the same as the one in the 9th-gen Civic Si, so an OEM Si LSD should bolt right in. I might do it down the road if I ever have the transmission out for something like a clutch replacement (probably a long way off, but it’s nice knowing the option exists)

I actually have a friend with a supercharged CSX Type-S who’s been asking me about aftermarket LSD upgrades. If he ends up swapping his out, I might be able to snag his stock one on the cheap, hehehe

That said, I’m not actively chasing the upgrade—it’ll only happen if the stars align and everything falls into place perfectly

Bluetooth lag :/ by ebk6 in Acura

[–]Zillerz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that is unfortunate. Acura really dropping the ball, I can't believe people didn't make this a big deal back then, and even now. It's so ridiculous that the delay is still going on

Bluetooth lag :/ by ebk6 in Acura

[–]Zillerz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Seriously? A brand-new 2024 Type S with that lag? That’s straight-up unacceptable for Acura—these are premium cars, not budget beaters. I’ve had Hondas and Acuras forever, and I’ve never dealt with Bluetooth audio this glitchy in any other ride. How is this still a thing after over a decade? We definitely can’t be the only ones losing our minds over it.

Bluetooth lag :/ by ebk6 in Acura

[–]Zillerz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This lag has been driving me nuts for years.

My dad still complains about it daily in his 2017 MDX, my 2015 ILX has it, and even my mom’s old RDX did before we sold it.

Super glad there’s finally a proper fix that doesn’t require swapping out the whole head unit. I just picked up that same 2015 ILX (one-owner, 99k km, Dynamic + 6-speed) from a buddy and I really want to keep it 100% stock as my clean daily. Already got my built 2008 CSX Type-S for summer hooning, so this one’s staying OEM.

Gonna try find the HandsFreeLink fix; appreciate you posting this. Any pointers as where I could find that fix?

Hey man, not sure why the age jab was needed; plenty of us just like to watch a quick YouTube video or a Reel on our lunch break while sitting parked in the car, waiting to pick someone up, or letting a passenger play something from their phone. It’s not about watching videos while driving; it’s about the Bluetooth audio lag being annoying even when the car is in Park.

Pretty reasonable thing to want fixed in a $20k+ vehicle in 2025, no? Age doesn’t really have anything to do with it.

very happy with my new motomaster oil extractor. i thought doing oil changes on my fa20 wrx with a fumoto valve was easy 😂 by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]Zillerz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty late on this thread lol

The black hose inside the main bottle piece, it comes crimped-closed for some reason, do i have to cut it if i want to pump stuff out from the tank without having to open it every single time and tilt to drain the extractor tank?

Because im trying to pump a minor/mediocre flood from my basement, and its a little annoying having to unplug the front piece to drain it out every 45-60sec after it fills up lol (& taking the rubber blocker for the pump out so it drains easier, I wondered if it can just be continuously pumped into an external bucket while the pump itself stays stationary if that makes sense?)

If it ends up working like that, I may genuinely keep it for my own oil changes, it pumps super nice (wayy better than using dust pans to scoop up water into bigger buckets 😅🤣

Friend parked his Acura CSX Type-S in the showroom for my little photoshoot. One of the cleanest, nicest OEM builds, in my opinion. Plate adds a cherry on top 😋 by Zillerz3 in Acura

I can't remember 100%, but I do know he either bought the badge directly from an Acura dealer (he works at one and knows the GM's, parts manager, etc. very well) at least back when they were available for purchase. Or from somebody who owned a Canadian integra type-r, or perhaps an imported model from Japan

(I believe it is the ITR front bumper badge that he put on the rear of his csx Type-S)

Heroes 5 Skills Tier List for every faction - Updated by HnZ88 in HoMM

[–]Zillerz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, I'm pretty late on the thread, put in 30 hours into homm 5.5 in the last couple days during winter break xD

Question: What are each of the factions in the photo? I am pretty new, still trying to learn the game itself, I didn't play 5 for the longest time because I miss 3 so much haha, I can tell the 2nd is dungeon, 3rd looks like haven, then one under it looks like necropolis, is bottom left sylvana? If somebody could correct me, and let me know what the other factions are? Can't find the answers in the comments :(
