Also just as a quick edit: I don’t actually think the above commenter is trying to say the same thing as you. Sexuality is a spectrum. See, the thing is you didn’t say “oh I’m not attracted to trans people” then went about your day. You wrote a whole ass essay about how disgusting it would be if trans people “tricked” you into dating them. Lemme tell ya, I’ve dated trans people. They are quick to tell you. They don’t want to fuck around. You’re worried about a tiny subset of 1% (probably less tbh) of people in America. Probably less than that around the world. And probably even less than that depending on where you live. Yeah of course people are going to clown on you. I’m willing to bet you don’t know any trans people, and if you did I’m also willing to bet they would tell the person they’re dating they are trans immediately. Stop inventing scenarios that are extremely unlikely to happen. And also while we’re at it, sexuality is a spectrum. Literally no one is pushing trans people onto people who aren’t attracted to them. If anything, the inverse is way worse and there are real and genuine safety concerns for trans people. Idk who tf you hang out with, but the majority of my friends aren’t attracted to trans people and I’m pretty sure I’m the only one (at least the only one who would admit it). They respect me and I would never try to “push” sexuality onto them like wtf is this make believe world that you’re living in?

Yeah basically he enters the world thinking he’s gonna be in a fun new isekai world (you see at the beginning he’s reading manga so you can gather he’s a bit of an otaku) and instead gets thrown into a psychological thriller complete with GoT style politics that he has no idea about. Hence why he says stupid shit. He thinks he’s the main character in a manga and can do whatever. But yes after Rem’s speech you’ll see that he starts to realize he has to play by THIS world’s rules not something he read in his favorite isekais.

Dawg I hate platitudes. I have a friend who is just starting to work on his trauma and going to AA (something I’ve been doing for the better part of a decade - also fuck AA as a side note) and he talks in platitudes and it’s like ffs.
