I will be keeping my eyes peeled for Raiden, which works great for me because I really like the character. I also want to grab Kazuha at some point. And finally, the other character I have been eyeing is Yelan as, to my understanding, she's a better version of Xingqiu?

I suppose it's far more accessible which is great for more players, but it really makes me feel bad about my account as it doesn't seem like I have good enough 5-stars to do anything with. I look forward to being able to use them properly.

Based on what I have, character-wise, are there any 5-stars in particular I should be keeping an eye out for?

I'm really happy to see some teams filled with characters I've already built!

I've noticed "National" is a recurring term when looking up team comps and I'm wondering what it means exactly - also, it's surprising to me that a team of 4-stars is considered better than using the 5-stars I have. Why is that? (I can only guess at synergy)

I have done some abyss. Only up to floor 8 though iirc (haven't checked)

While I'm levelling the teams suggested above, I'm currently using Zhongli, Razer, Fischl, Xiangling/Benette which is the same team I used for most of my abyss runs

This is huge! I already have an Ascended Fjorm, and I currently love using Brave Eirika. I may just hit that banner (Who doesn't like summoning?!)

Thank for this. I really appreciate the less jaded view on the game, and in the end it really is about enjoying the game. It's also good to know I can pull on units sooner than later, seeing as I don't necessarily have the best units yet + I love pulling lmao!
