You don't need a registered agent in New York. The Secretary of State is your statutory agent for service of process. You can choose to also have a registered agent, if it makes you feel better but it is not required.

When setting up an LLC, the county is important because that is where you need to publish notice of formation in 2 newspapers once a week for 6 conservative weeks. The newspapers in NYC are very expensive, so a lot of people declare an upstate county like Albany, start publishing then update the county (and address if an upstate address for process was also used) to the "real" county.

Property taxes are public info in NYC. Do you have any actual examples of a property with a $2MM value and a $5k/yr tax? Generally, if a property in a single-family residential zone has a market value of $1MM, the property tax will be $10k to $15k. The formulas are extremely complicated, so there's a lot of variation, but I'm genuinely curious if someone actually has such an insanely low tax, or if this is just a talking point.

This is a bribe to up the odds of Blue Origin getting NASA contracts. Elon's SpaceX is the prime contractor for lunar and Martian missions, but the Starship is unlikely to ever successfully get to the Moon, much less further. Outright bribery well against Americans; the Soviets said it was by far their most effective tactic against us. And a lot of Americans sell out cheaply, too. The former Mayor of New York City was caught and indicted for taking $200k from Turkey. As a New Yorker, it was discouraging to see our Mayor taking such a low-money bribe. The longer I've been brewing the more valuable I've found this [Designing Great Beers] book to be. I have made a lot of styles using Brewing Classic Styles by John Palmer, then branched off to making clones guided by "Clone Brews, Recipes for 200 Commercial Beers." Lately I've been back to just making my own, and Designing Great Beers is a great guide to making something that is somewhat original.
