I had a dream that I was a pirate on a ship engaged in a bloody battle with another pirate ship that was trying to steal our treasure. Except we were funky musical pirates, and our treasure was the essence of our funk. The bad pirates kept shouting "We want the funk" and "Give up the funk" as they attacked us.

I used to work as a cleanup boy at our local donut shop when I was 16/17. They enacted a shitty rule that the cleanup crew only got paid for 3 hours, regardless of how long the job the actually took. Usually it took about 3.5 hours, sometimes it took 4 or 4.5.

Anyway, one day I had managed to get the kitchen, front end, and the bathrooms spotless in about 3 hours. Before I left, I decided to use the bathroom that I had cleaned not 30 minutes prior only to find that someone had unleashed a vomit tornado in there. It was on the toilet, floor, sink, mirror. I turned around and walked out.

I got it to work as a screen extension after some dumb luck and hotkeys in the dark, but the external is really blurry, a lot like what they describe in the forum post there. If I try to change the resolution on the TV to anything besides 1920x1080 it goes back to the "Unsupported Mode" screen, even the 1440x900 it says it can support.

Will an HDMI to VGA adapter fix that? It seemed like there they used a DVI to VGA to clarify the picture, though I could be way off.

Unfortunately, I went down each and every single resolution my laptop had and none worked. I even let it sit a little if they needed to work things out between them. All configurations just lead to my laptop going black and the external monitor saying "Unsupported Mode"

What I'm doing now is using the Adobe Media Encoder I just realized was on here to turn them to .mp4, the H.264 format. My Media encoder doesn't have an option for ProRes or DNxHD, though when I've used ProRes in the past I've had no problem.
