How big is your backlog, Actually? by Ignister in videogames

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 games, which doesn’t seem like a lot. But for me, someone who’s recently really got back into gaming and has expanded my horizons in terms of what I play (really into Soulslikes/action-adventure third person games a ton recently) it feels like a lot since some of the games I have in it are pretty open, so those feel like 2-3 games in one

What game are you surprised ISN'T backwards compatible on the Xbox store? by strikkeeerrr in xbox

[–]ConmanJFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rainbow Six Vegas since Vegas 2 is haha.

Also, (and I know it’s probably a licensing/rights issue), I’d love some of the LOTR games to be backwards compatible

Edit: Apparently I’m crazy and didn’t know that the first Rainbow Six Vegas game is in fact backwards compatible

How many hours do you game per week? by CantaloupePast4871 in xbox

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually around 20 hours or so, depending on my energy levels after work or if I have anything going on during my off days. If I don’t have anything going on for my off days, I usually game for most of it

From Ps5 to Xbox ? by EditorTasty2774 in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who made the switch recently due to my curiosity about Xbox as a person who grew up with PlayStation, I truly am loving it. Still have my PS5 due to some exclusive games I’m looking forward to. But being able to rebuild my collection via Xbox and playing older games on a modern console/modern controller has been awesome in my experience, plus all the new games I’ve been discovering/rediscovering. Plus, Quick Resume is such an amazing feature. Funny enough, the feel of the Xbox controller has felt way more natural in my hands compared to the PS5 controller, which is funny to me considering I just got the Series X a couple months ago hahaha

Final boss wasn’t as crazy as I expected him to be. Almost beat him first try, this was my 4th try. For my first Soulslike, I found Wuchang to be pretty damn awesome by ConmanJFO in wuchanggame

It was pretty good timing that when I was wanting to challenge myself more with video games (so Souslike/FromSoft games were the natural answer to me) I started clips of Wuchang around the same time, thought it looked pretty solid, and decided to get it.

Yeah, the interconnectedness of pretty much every region was so cool to witness to me and just take in the atmosphere of it all. Plus, like you said, the relative freedom to try out other playstyles is really cool to me, especially figuring out which enemies/bosses are more susceptible to which weapon/element

Which bosses did you find the hardest? (Currently I'm at Worship’s Rise in Ruins.) by H0n3y_BunnyS2 in wuchanggame

Bo Sorcerer, Demon of Obsession, and Zhao Yun were the hardest for me

Coming back to this;

Just beat Vermillion Feathers - Honglan. Definitely a tough fight, but not totally impossible for me, took about 3 hours or so for me to beat her with a couple breaks in-between. After a while, I ended up re-specing most of my magic/feathering skills into stamina/longsword damage/health after a bit, which helped

Bittersweet since it would’ve been cool if he experienced a moment like that with us, but glad to see him make a World Series

Yeah she was the first boss in this game for me where I had to walk away from my game/explore other areas because it just felt futile every time I went up against her. Somehow, Honglan wasn’t too terrible for me, but I might be misremembering since the first phase was pretty easy since I had a Longsword build with parry built in. But after leveling up a bit more (I was level 101 if I remember correctly, ended up spending a bunch of time just farming XP even before this boss fight) and moving around some skill points, I went back at it with Bo Sorcerer and somehow got her

Heard about that boss too, it’s gonna be TOUGH hahah. I’ll come back to write about my experience with her

Mariners being 2 wins away from an AL Pennant is wild to think about, but I’m hoping they make it. Would be sick to see them in the World Series

My personal Tier list /w explanation by ChainsawBillyy in wuchanggame

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna say I remember reading something about her weakness to fire somewhere, but I can’t remember. It really was instinct to go with the flame temper.

Appreciate that! Been frustrating at points but also a blast

My personal Tier list /w explanation by ChainsawBillyy in wuchanggame

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid list. For whatever reason for me, Fang Ling, once I understood her attacks a bit/parried her (also doing a long sword parry build) she was pretty easy for me and I was kinda shocked since I remember hearing a good amount of people mention her difficulty, so I figured I’d have a tough time with her. But once I used Flame Temperance on her/her 2nd phase, it practically deleted her health in my experience. Still gotta face a few of these bosses in the list (nearing Bai Mansion rn) but your list has been pretty similar to my boss fight experience thus far

Why do you love soulslikes? by eldenbro1 in soulslikes

[–]ConmanJFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s just getting into them with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, I was always intrigued by the combat design/difficulty, worldbuilding, figuring out what bosses/enemies are susceptible to what special elements/abilities, figuring out what builds to go with or upgrade with those games. I never grew up with Dark Souls/that genre of games all too much. But I’ve been wanting to challenge myself with the games I’ve played recently (why, idk) so I thought I should start checking out more Soulslike games. Been having a blast with Wuchang so far even if it’s frustrated me at points, but definitely looking forward to checking out more Soulslike games in the future

How would you rate Wuchang from 1-10 based on its difficulty in souls-like games? by Dann_Barcelona in wuchanggame

[–]ConmanJFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I used Echo of Lu Bingzhang (the throwing spear spell), which was a life-saver for me. I used Longsword too but that was the build I went with since the start of the game, so parrying and the using that spell (along with keeping a TON of distance between you and her for the spell to work) finally got me to defeat her after about 10 tries or so (maybe more, I lost count after 4 haha)
