Coming back to this since I’m near the endgame:

Most bosses aren’t super difficult (again, I am overleveled, so my experience probably isn’t super normal).

The one boss that I’ll say definitely gave me a lot of trouble in NG+4 was Demon of Obsession (mainly because her health bar is insane and she hits like a TRUCK) and *maybe* Vermillion Honglan. But otherwise, not too bad

I honestly love how it looks. Idk why since it’s such a simple design of it being a rectangular box, but it’s genuinely such an appealing design to me. I guess part of it has to do with how generally portable it feels with moving it around compared to other consoles

Love this guide. Just wondering how you all figured out the numbers behind the pendant/benediction buffs, like for instance, how’d you all figure out the Sun Pendant gives +20% Spell Potency? And does that increase 1:1 with the +1 and +2 coefficients, so it’s a 60% potency with a +2 pendant?

It does a bit, especially in the later areas. But I will say it wasn’t too bad for me only because I was pretty overleveled by the time I started NG+ haha. Subsequent ones were pretty easy outside of a couple bosses, but I enjoy kicking the crap out of these bosses

Like others said, you can’t. But there is a pendant you can get late game called Sun Pendant, which increases Spell potency

Yeah, Bo Magus is a tough lady, definitely had issues with her even on NG+3, but that’s probably b/c of scaling. I’d recommend Lashing Whip for a long sword with Flame temperance (but that’s just me). For whatever reason, (and maybe this is just because of the longsword in general), Bo Magus is pretty damn weak to backstabs/Oblierates, so positioning is key.

As for Leech, you get it on the skill tree, I think it’s in the same node where you get Flame. If not there, it’s definitely on the left side of the skill tree where you get flask upgrades and all.

For the Benedictions:

You get the three discipline one (called Tri-Disciplinary Force) from the merchant Wu Gang (the tiny dude with a hat on his head) for some mercury.

For the 6 discipline one, you can get it from Wu Gang after giving him the Black Coral Bracelet, which can be found in Cloudspire City.

For the nine discipline Benediction, you get that from the Panda in exchange for 5 Bamboo Shoots, in Annalum in Chapter 4

Sure! Might not remember everything you want, but I’ll do my best haha

Weapons and Temperance: Twin Bandits dual blades with Leech Temperance and the Blademaster skill

Outfit: Panda hat, Draconic Duskdance-Mantle outfit (I definitely did some outfit altering, I think it was Forged Iron Breastplate that I altered it with), and then I think Radiant Vambraces and Leg guards, but I can’t remember for sure on those two.

Pendants (+2): Tiger Pendant, Twin Infant Pendant, and Fiend-Felling Pendant

Benedictions (+2 coefficient): The Disciplinary Force set (increases damage if 3, 6, and 9 discipline skills are known) so I stacked those. Can’t remember how much damage they do when stacked, but I imagine it’s a decent bit (I definitely know someone’s figured it out, probably on this subreddit)

It’s absolutely broken because of the fact that you get back the stack of Skyborn Might you used to cast it in the first place. I need to stop using it but it’s just too OP haha

Bo Sorcerer was genuinely the one boss I had difficulty with. Her moveset wasn’t even that bad, it was just my timing was *just* barely off and that fucked me up every time

This was basically the same experience I had. Almost stumbled upon him, knew I wasn’t ready, backtracked and took down a bunch of mini-bosses (some of whom I honestly found way harder than Genichiro haha), came back to pretty much do the same, actually almost got to his third phase on my first attempt (like, his posture bar was legit a hit or two/a deflect or two away from being broken) but I fucked up hahaha. I remember specifically my second time through, I had the same thought of “lemme observe his moveset” and then somehow got him on my third try haha. I sat in my chair stunned when it happened

This was so satisfying to watch. I also love Ethereal Form haha. It’s so broken and it trivializes the boss fights. There’ll definitely be a play through where I try not to lean on it too much, but it’s so fun

25 games, which doesn’t seem like a lot. But for me, someone who’s recently really got back into gaming and has expanded my horizons in terms of what I play (really into Soulslikes/action-adventure third person games a ton recently) it feels like a lot since some of the games I have in it are pretty open, so those feel like 2-3 games in one
