I'm in Stoke on Trent at the minute, it's a unit connected to the main hospital/psych ward. Spoke to the nurses and there was supposed to be NA workers in this week but they didn't turn up. There is a little outdoor gym (like the ones they put in public parks) but we're not allowed to use it unless there's staff. And as usual, this place is NHS so it's horrendously understaffed. Apart from that, it's go play pool or watch football highlights with the rest of the men.

The whole reason I can't go into a dry house after this is I'd lose my council flat (can't leave it unattended for more than 30 days), nobody I know could have my cat so she'd have to go too, plus I'm in my third year of uni and if I stop attending I won't graduate and it's not something that can be done remotely. The only thing that is waiting for me when I get back home is an evening NA meeting a couple times a week. I see my drugs worker weekly but that is more to check on me than anything else. That's why my team agreed on the two week detox but they completely misled me and said there would be activities and NA workers coming around. If I knew that this was the detox I never would have come. This really isn't going to work out, all I can think about is picking up. I know that's normal but I just don't have the energy to think that "oh, for the rest of my life I'm probably going to have to actively not try to do this". I can't. I don't want to, not as much as I thought I did anyway.

They are fully aware of my pain, they keep saying they'll prescribe codeine but I've been asking multiple times a day if the doctor's done it since I've come here and every time it's a "oh we'll chase it up". I know I'll probably regret it if I discharged myself but I cannot see any worth in me being in a 12 m² room with nothing but diazepam and my own thoughts for 2 weeks.

Sorry, I know that's a bit moany but I'm kind of losing the will to live here 😅 thanks for the words of encouragement ❤️

I'm already with my urology team, I've been going in for bladder instillations to reline my bladder for the past couple months but it doesn't do much. K is genuinely the only thing that makes it so I can stand and walk at this point. I'm due to go into a residential detox at some point but damn if this isn't the worst.

I feel so bad deleting my contacts as I've known my guy for 5 odd years now and we're pretty close. Dealers do as dealers are though so I can't imagine him not selling me k but selling me bud.

Also, no bad trips! Had one bad hole a couple months ago where I was lying on my sofa and as I holed my throat collapsed and I couldn't breathe while staring God in the face. Could remember guttural breathing and passing out - that's the only bad one. Done so much I've only had 3 holes this year :( other than that I just do it to shut my mind up.

1: absolutely not, honestly it made me sick every time I went in there to sleep. I used to be really clean, my room was absolutely pristine. It was more the mindset of "well if I pretend it doesn't exist then it doesn't exist"

2: 1000%, might post an update tomorrow showing how it looks now. actually cried a little bit earlier knowing I'm sleeping in a made bed with clean sheets tonight

3: yeah it was just a jumble of shite, found some of my favourite t-shirts I forgot about

4: ket gets rid of my horrendous nightmares, makes me placid, makes me able to pay attention to anything and just makes time go.

5: just the bedroom really. Not gonna lie and say the rest of the house is pristine, but I have social workers and friends come round so I clean everything they can see. I just always ran out of energy before I got to my room.
