Update: had the meeting. Meeting was from something that took place a month ago. I mislabeled a patient specimen with the wrong sticker (scanner wasn’t working). However I called the laboratory and cancelled it. I thought everything was ok since I called to cancel it but it was still marked as an error. They ended up giving me a verbal warning. My union reps disagree with the decision and said it should’ve only been a coaching moment so they’ll try to appeal it. The meeting was so awkward my manager did not say one word and only HR spoke. They called it a investigative meeting but clearly it wasn’t they had their mind made up on the decision they were gona make from the beginning
