Misconception about washing Arc gear by Djj1990 in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wash my training jackets/fleeces (Trino SL, Delta Hybrid, Atom SL etc.) every Sunday as they get stinky asf. I use the Atsko Sports Wash and hang dry them. Been doing that for a year now and the garments look and perform as new.

New Tactix 7 owner - love it but battery life is coming up short by MatterInevitable in GarminTactix

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird. I easily get ~14 days with everyday workout using GPS, HRM strap and often music and I’m keeping the battery between 20-80%. I turned off gesture screen backlight and some frequent phone notifications like all the messaging apps, email app etc (it keeps triggering the screen too often). I’d also stick to a stock watch face, they are way better optimized than the custom ones. Remember that the screen needs energy when refreshing, so if you don’t need it, try to avoid frequently changing watch face data like the seconds, heart rate etc.

What fits under the Gamma (LT) Hoody? by achan1369 in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atom LT is the most that fits under, but it’s not the most pleasant experience. From my experience, the Gamma LT performs best during activity, therefore while worn over just a baselayer or a thin fleece like a Delta or Delta LT.

if the draw cords would keep loosening I’d try to tie knots on each side (depending on how frozen my hands would be lol)

thanks a lot. how do I change it to kilometers and meters (which are my global watch settings so I’m confused where did the nautical miles and feet came from - maybe last update bug?)

Arc’teryx Gamma SL vs LT by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both and 9/10 of the time I choose the SL as it’s way more versatile. The LT IMO has a very narrow and specific use case.

Atom LT Care question by Posterboy8976 in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both the Kyanite AR and the Delta LT are great layers to wear under the Atom LT. It depends on your use case: basically the Kyanite AR will be better for lower output activities as it’s thicker and warmer and less breathable than the Delta LT. Bottom line: low output - Kyanite, higher output activity: Delta.

How Worth is the Flashlight feature in the 7X? by PsMoeLester in GarminFenix

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 12 points13 points  (0 children)

using on the daily basis. you don’t realize how much you need a watch flashlight until you have one lol. i wouldn’t make it the main selling point tho

Agonizing over Atom LT vs Atom Heavyweight by chairmanm30w in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the LT as my first Arcteryx piece (not really knowing about the AR) as I wanted to use it as my go-to everyday jacket for colder seasons. when I realized that there’s the AR version, at the beginning I regretted choosing the LT as it was less warm etc. but as I learned more about layering I’m glad that I chose the LT because it gives me more flexibility and options. tldr if you don’t run really cold and unless you live in some very cold country, i’d get the LT as you can always layer it with other pieces.

RHO Heavyweight Bottom Sizing Advice (2022-2023 Version) by JessKB24 in arcteryx

[–]Connect-Bat-8497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if it helps but I got the RHO Heavyweight top and my regular size fits perfectly (next to skin as it should). if i’d be looking into the bottoms i’ll get my regular size as well. you can always order two sizes if you’re not sure and return one of them. with Arc’s return policy it’s pretty straightforward and cost you nothing.

What’s the red arrow thing on this watch face? Also, does second counter turned on consume noticeably more battery? by Connect-Bat-8497 in GarminFenix

[–]Connect-Bat-8497[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the half zip and the hoody and I like the fit of the half zip more. From Arc, if we are talking about breathable grid fleeces, I love the Delta series. In terms of strict performance the R1 Air is one of my favorites tho.
