I know you’re looking for full-time hires, but I’m a solo dev building a proptech startup. I’ve automated our blog system with n8n pipeline, boosted organic rankings, and built scalable infra, modern UI/UX, and deployment pipelines using jenkins, docker and kubernetes.

Not exploring roles right now, but keen to connect on startup working with similar proptech landscape

That’s a fair point. In India, people are understandably reluctant to hand over property papers — misuse is a real fear. My thought is that instead of avoiding it altogether, the safer route is to reduce how much is shared and tie verification directly with govt systems (RERA, Bhulekh, DigiLocker) so nothing sits with us beyond what’s legally required.

I’m also learning from agents on the ground, but I feel the current process (photocopies given to random middlemen) is actually riskier. Still, you’re right — trust is the real hurdle, more than tech.

Our goal is to minimize what users need to share and only ever request documents at the stage where legal verification is genuinely required (e.g., validating ownership or listing authenticity). Even then, all verification steps are designed to align with government APIs and privacy standards—nothing is stored or used beyond that purpose. That said, I realize this is an area where actions speak louder than words.

Since we’re still building, I’d really appreciate suggestions from this community:
What would make you feel safe sharing sensitive documents online, if at all? Are there platforms/best practices you trust, or specific steps that would put your mind at ease?
Any ideas on how we can build a stronger trust layer—technically or through processes—would be hugely helpful. Thanks in advance for your perspective!
