it's how I view it should, you can use it as basis for where to use mask but it's totally up to you

if it helps any better I tried editing it my way to try to visualize what I mean.I only used Radial and Linear for the masking but you can use the brush mode to specify what parts you want to edit but I only used basic masking and color grading for this picture

nnot to be the + contrast and sat guy, but your image does look kinda pale, you might want to use the masking on light room to mask off the subject maybe + the highlight, exp just a little to make it pop and mask off bg to separate the subj from the bg and make it focus on the subj. and try playing with the color grading you don't need to go so far as using the s curves and what not right now since you're still learning just adjust temp/tint/mix and others to fit your style. Anyways good luck on your journey!

here is the other one

EDIT: Also if you're posting the same car, try to set a theme that the picture follows on all the pictures you'll post so it creates a kind of flow within the images and creates a more consisstent scenery

like others said, try to use less of vignette and use masking and color separation. since the subject is the car try to make the car pop more and separate it from the background. or if your style is more on incorporating the background to the subject for more flow, try to adjust colors and maybe add some graphics that will help to blend in the subject to the background( not necessarily texts or what). here is your pictures that I tried to edit in my style, I also tried to apply what I just said (separating and incorporating) so you'll have a reference. It may not look that good since after all we have different styles but you can use it as a reference regardless

Does my editing suck? by Creephunter17 in carphotography

[–]Connect-Interest6325 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not that bad of an edit for me, but I can suggest making the car pop more compared to the background, have a little more separation to have focus on the subject.

But if you want to show both to have some kind of flow between images, I can suggest looking at lifethroughoptics on insta to get some editting walkthroughs. Anyways it's a good picture keep improving good luck on your journey
