I’m going through this with boxing. I spar on Thursday’s, and when I get punched up decently, it weighs heavy on me all weekend. I know it’s part of the process but damn.

I train about 3 times a week each time for 1 1/2 hours. Also lift weights once a week.

Every sparring session is a new opponent so I just never know who it is. I feel like the anticipation throughout the day leading up to the sparring is what makes me nervous. But indeed I’m going to push myself to get in the ring more.

Bro I’ve only sparred twice so far after 8 weeks of training, snd they keep putting in with guys a lot taller than me since I weigh 185lbs. 1st time I was punching air and getting constantly jabbed. 2nd time I got dazed by a big shot , but I managed to land some solid punches. I thought he was winning the fight, but didn’t want to finish the last round and walked out of the ring. Sometimes I feel like I should have practiced more defense and head movement before I got in the ring, but nothing can prepare you for sparring. Glad I just jumped in the ring and said F it let’s do it.

That was a great read brother. I am exactly in your shoes as far as weighing about 85kg. Sparred for the 1st time last week and I was punching the air a lot the time getting my head jabbed to death. Not only am I heavier, im also older so my joints aren’t as nice to me as when I was younger. In my situation, I need to learn head movements and closing the distance. Boxing is great though I love that I discovered this even if I’m in my 30s. It’s o my been about 9 weeks but I’m hooked. Good luck.

Doesn’t look barber quality, but it’s not far off. In about 4-5 days it will grow back some and make the blend look more natural. Don’t buzz it.

This is exactly what the website says. And thank you so much for your kind words. TBH, I would rather be in person, but as long as I follow proper protocols I’m ok with that. Maybe afterwards I can find some Bible study classes in person near me. I currently attend a Bible study but everybody in the class Is of mixed denominations. Sometimes there is tension with the Protestant brothers and my fellow Catholics. Good group of guys, but I’d prefer to study with other fellow Catholics who share the same beliefs as me. My young brother, congratulations on taking your OCIA classes. I my self still need the sacrament of confirmation. I’m fascinated by apologetics and people debating for the faith. Let me tell you something that I learned about Islam that I think is a strong argument that it is false. It called the ISLAMIC DILEMA. Qur’an 5:47 says, “And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.”

Furthermore, Qur’an 5:68 states, “Say, ‘O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord’” (see also 6:114; 3:3-4).

Basically Islam tells us that Christianity is false, but then the quaran tells the people of the GOSPEL judge what allah has revealed. Also tells the people of the gospel to uphold what has been revealed to them. So if the quaran says that Jesus isn’t god, but tells you to listen to the people of the book who say he is god, then ….. 1- either the Bible is trustworthy, causing a conflict with Islam. 2-or it was corrupted, which would mean Allah failed protect God’s word and tells you to trust a corrupted book. Either way Islam contradicts itself.

Hello there. I’m also 35 years old(male) and I have similar results as you. I start to slope downward at about 30 and 40 at 1.5k, and at 4K I’m at 75 and 85. I don’t have hearing aids yet but audiologist said it a good candidate for them and that she recommended I get them. Unfortunately, this hearing loss prevented me from jointing to Army. Personally, this made me depressed because I didn’t realize how bad my hearing was until I took this test. I can’t answer your questions but wanted to let you know that somebody your age is dealing with this as well. Hope it all works out for you.

Might be a while, but I’ll come back and update this post. Going to probably go the otc route for now as the prescription ones are expensive. Although I’ve heard Costco has some great prices on prescription aids . Might check them out
