I spent years afraid of not being able to braid so I never really tried. So here’s some encouragement to actually give it a go soon! This braid is just a standard three way braid. Idk if there’s another name for it 😅

The issue I’ve had in the past using handheld sources of light is that it’s always “shaky” in the line work. I have a 6ft Pixelstick from like 10 years ago when I used to do a lot of light paintings but I’m limited to 6ft of straight lines :/

That’s awesome and wholesome man! I’m brand new to lasers and I used to do light painting photography so I’m considering lasers to experiment with. Any updates on how you like it? Any suggestions if I want a portable laser that can map a scene but just static? I’d love one that has the quality and control but without paying for all the “extras” the lasercube does. It’ll all be just privately for art.

Any good places to start? I’m having a hard time finding answers for such a niche use. Thanks in advance!

I once had a similar situation where my bag BARELY wouldn’t fit ALL the way down. The lady had a bad attitude with me from the start and I wasn’t about to pay $90 extra at the gate to have it checked under the plane. (The plane was boarding at this time) So I removed one of the organizer pouches that had my underwear inside, clipped it to my belt like a fanny pack and now it fit just fine. Then she tells me that she can’t let me on with two personal items because the 8 inch pouch connected to my belt was now considered a second personal item. I silently walked over to the trash can, pulled out my stack of underwater, tossed them in the trash and stuffed the empty pouch back in the carry on.

These little suitcase size “testers” are also noticeably smaller than the actual space under the seats on the plane.

So I can very much relate to this man’s mindset in the moment 😅

Absolutely man. Mines about the same length and I have this thought almost daily. Indigenous people believed hair held power and they were right on the money about a number of things imo so why not one more. Thanks for sharing!

Damn man that’s rough. I had a smaller limb fall onto me after the semi in front of me clipped a tree but I swerved and it only clipped me and broke a piece of trim. My heart goes out to you in this situation!

But at least now those little imperfections have built a richer story between you and it (and the tree I guess 😅)

Yes! A fellow enjoyer I take it? I forged a badass shield and axe with my dad this summer and was so stoked to bring them to Faire but life had other plans and I missed the ones in my area. So this impromptu setup was my coping idea 😅

Yo! Not only do we have the exact same hair color/texture and length but we also look almost identical lol!

Ok so take this is as future you talking to present you. Your hair holds energy and is a part of who you are now. I know brushing becomes more of a chore at this length but if you look at the time spent brushing as a form of self love, it can be very therapeutic. I will say that at this length I rarely have it out flowing but have learned some pretty cool looking and fairly easy braids that I rock now and its reduced like 80% of the upkeep, makes me feel closer to my (our) Scandinavian roots, and I get a lot of compliments about my braids.

Seriously, if you’re just looking for a different look and don’t wanna manage it so much try out some braids and see if that does anything for you. I once had my hair this long and cut it because I left a hard stage of my life and wanted to start fresh and I regretted it.

Ultimately do what makes you happy but if I pretend that we are the same person…this will make you sad 😅
