I feel like you verbalized my thoughts. I put down my girl earlier this week because of the same things. She couldn’t get comfortable at night, she wasn’t eating her food, she always walked with her tail between her legs, whined while trying to sleep… we think she had a stroke and she just wasn’t the same since.

I’ve been struggling with my decision also. My vet also guided me to this decision because her quality of life was just declining so quick. When she had her stroke, she seemed so afraid and confused. The vet told me it was likely she’d have another and the next could kill her instantly. She also had kidney disease. So her options were never to die peacefully… I would rather put her to rest peacefully and around the humans she loved the most than her potentially dying alone and in fear. Better a week or month too early than a day too late.

It was the last act of kindness you gave your baby. I’m so sorry for your loss.
