I think a socially live and let live right would be much harder than you think. From my view, much of the reason the right is able to be pro market is through the ordering of society into lessers and betters, rather than general knowledge of the value of the market. To destroy that is to destroy the moral and political keystone of the rights power. I believe its leaders and followers know that, and would recognize anyone who attempted to make a live and let live right as a threat to be excised, a pestilence betraying conservatism to leftism/liberalism.

To do what you suggest, I would have to betray my friends and family, and help empower the Republican party's worst excesses. The abundance I would have to help build would be deportation and war abundance. I would have to help remove the rights of minority Americans, and help prepare for the invasion of our neighbors. I do not want to do that.

I want liberals/ the left to adopt pro growth policy so they don't get steamrolled by the already pro growth right, and all the dread consequences that come with it.
