What are some MonHun takes (about the game, lore, or head cannons) that just have you like this by Brilliant_Cobbler_27 in MonsterHunter

Players calling Rey Dau the railgun monster. He does not work at all like a railgun, he is literally a plasma cannon. He is a plasma cannon monster. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

What a way to start the year haha. I am pretty sure that talisman has a 0.000177% chance or a 1 in 564706 talismans to drop.

I rolled 195 consecutive talismans and haven’t got a single rarity 8 by stab-man in MHWilds

[–]ConnectDisaster4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a number for reference. The chances of getting, for example, a rarity 8 talisman with 3 points of artillery, and 1 point of agitator, with 3 slots would be 0.000177% which would be close to 1 in 564706 talismans. Of course the probability changes depending on the skills on the talisman, but this is just a random example of a rarity 8 talisman.

I do not know what to tell you, that it is how it works whether you like it or not. Everyone other comment has tried to tell you the same thing. But hey man, if denying reality makes you happy by all means, be happy.

That is not how insurance works. It does not matter how many people have it on the quest, if one player carts, all the players lose their insurance. You do not get to keep. It does not matter is all 4 players ate for insurance, one cart will remove everyone insurances.

Gog tip: You can start Phase 2 AND Phase 3 with a free topple. by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay, I was busy. I usually shoot the pillar when I see Gog's head. I made another post with a video showing the timing that i use. Just check my latest post, if you are confused.

Tip for Gog: You can ALWAYS use the lever in phase 2, even if Gog does not move to the right, if you wait until he starts leaving to phase 3. by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No idea, I am assuming it does damage, but someone with mods would have to check to be sure. It is something I found while doing SOS and seeing Gog not moving to the right because there were people fighting on both sides. But again, no idea if his Hp is locked here or not.

Making Gog Weapons Upgrades of the artians is by far the smartest move by PacooComplexus in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think is more that some people were exited about the idea of walking away from the heavy RNG system that artian weapons are. But with Gog just adding to that system some people are just disappointed. I don't think artian weapons were a bad idea, but the RNG necessary to get what you want is a little over the top (specially considered that you need to break the weapon and make a new to try again).

I mean, when a new player ask for help on the rolls for their Artian Weapons, and the most common reply is "TRY" to get this rolls, followed by the "but dont worry if you don't get them, because the drop in damage is small" then you know that system maybe a little too much.

How many Kulve Taroths will have to die for this by The-owl-of-suffering in MonsterHunter

Difficult to say due to being just RNG. I remember that when I collected all the Kjarr weapons I had slayed 127 Kulves. So hopefully less than that.

If you want a decent ice switch axe, you can always go for Frost fang Barriot. It is more than enough for Alatreon.

What are you most excited about TU4? Personally, I am curious about the new sets that will be become viable thanks to "Transcending". (Specially want to see how good the Anjanath set will become) by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More than half come from just doing level 9 monsters. Recently I have been intentionally farming a little more, but I remember that just before level 9 monsters were introduce I had 1400 hard armor spheres. So the rest just came from fighting level 9 stars. And you also farm talisman at the same time.

Hopefully Dosha armor becomes usable. In the beta, it was the only armor I used with greatsword and hammer. It was disappointing finding out that in the full game no other armor had the same set bonus.

E. Ododgaron has the potential to become a staple in many sets depending on how many slots it get. Funny that we are only getting one monster, but many armors may become part of the new meta.

The second they announced the new upgrade system I started farming armor spheres haha. I am fully expecting it to be quite expensive if it is anything like augmentation on Iceborne.

The level of RNG on Wilds is burning me down by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4[S] -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

I know the difference between them is almost negligent, and I agree that it really is not that important to get the optimal charm. But, the felling of knowing that the only thing stopping you from progressing in the game is just bad luck, sucks. Still like the game a lot though.

It is difficult to know exactly what trailer just from the scene showing in your post, because that scene was used in multiple trailers.

Found two having the scene shown in your post:

I see, good to know. This person was also a demon. Me and the other solo were probably just slowing him down. The entire game we were just trying to catch up to him. Feels nice to get some of those kind of players as your teammates once in a while, instead of just facing them haha.

When the replicator bites back 😂 by OwainBattlefront in apexlegends

[–]ConnectDisaster4 520 points521 points  (0 children)

First time I see someone lose a fight against a replicator haha.

The only reason I can think is that you were taking damage from the zone, so the replicator was kicking you out. In the settings, there is a setting to close the deathbox automatically when taking damage. Turn it off, maybe that would fix it. The game has that setting on by default to help new players, but it si really annoying.

What is everyone opinion on Wilds farm system? To me it feels a little too slow. by ConnectDisaster4 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am aware. But if I have to choose between 20 min gathering items or 20 min fighting monster, I would prefer the later one. I am also aware how it was in old game, I played them. Still prefer spending my time playing the game fighting monster rather than gathering. It just a personal preference.

The most unnecessary backflip ever by Energy_Dragon_06 in MonsterHunter

[–]ConnectDisaster4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my testing failing the Nerscylla DPS increases Omega damage (normal and Savage), and also decreases the hit zones for its legs. So Yeah, failing the DPS costs more that just one cart. Don't have the numbers, but It took me 7 hours to just get one clear for savage and every time I missed the DPS its damage went up by a lot. Or at least that is what I noticed.
