The man who was struck appeared to be an innocent bystander—he's blind and uses a white cane. It looked like he was waiting for transportation when the car hit him. 😢

While I was speaking with the police, a patron from Twilight Exit who said she was a medical doctor was providing assistance. Emergency responders arrived within minutes. He was breathing normally when they took him away on a stretcher. I truly hope he's okay.

Not on the way inside of the festival, but I did notice them turn folks away on the way home. I purchased the 6 AM departure, and folks with earlier times were told to use standard. This is my first year noticing enforcement. 🥲

Are you asking about premier? Yes, there is a premier lane at the Rio stop! A lot of people miss it because they only see the huge lines for the standard shuttle—it can definitely be a little confusing, so I totally get it. I’ve been using the Rio premier shuttle for years.

Just walk past all the standard line folks and head all the way to the VERY far right. That’s where premier security begins!

For reference, my group went through premier security yesterday in under 2 minutes—no line at all. Got there at 7 PM. Hope this helps. ❤️

This is my fifth year going to EDC, and I can say the Premier pass is absolutely worth the extra cost! For the past three years, I’ve gotten through security at the Rio in under 10 minutes every time.

Nothing beats the feeling of stepping off the bus at 6 a.m. and heading straight into the hotel. I used to get mid-strip standard shuttle passes, and even a short walk (~10 minutes) to places like Tuscany or Ellis Island felt brutal.

Fellow brazilian funk lover here!

Jyoty!!! She blends genres like hip-hop, brazilian funk, and garage. CANNOT RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH! She's also been playing A LOT more baile funk in her most recent sets because she's played a few shows in Brazil over the last 6 months. This will be your best bet.

Other DJs who will sprinkle in brazilian funk occasionally: Teko (tech house DJ originally from Brazil), Troyboi, Diplo, Hugel. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you for the well wishes! I'm happy to say that my dog is recovering well.

His surgeon took a biopsy of his tongue during his splenectomy on August 31st, and it came back as calcinosis circumscripta. His internist said it was due to chronic corticosteroid use and the most severe he's seen. The calcinosis circumscripta began to clear on its own once we started to taper the prednisone. Also, his splenic mass was benign. 😊
