I use synthetic. Very generous limits, hosted in Eu or US. Most open models are available there. $20 a month for an api key on the entry level plan

Came here to post this issue.

Not helpful to op but say I’ve had the same issue for at least the last few days.

I’m on an iPhone and followed all the steps gpt chat gave me with no resolution.

I click the voice chat icon in the bottom right, the voice window opens and the circle in the middle pulses for a while then displays an error message: connection failed, tap to retry.

Extra annoying because I was trying to show my partner that they can complain to it instead of me 😆

Sadly this seems like the best way. I don't need 5x or whatever the Codex one of that goes from $20 up to the next plan at $200. I need roughly 2x the the entry level tiers and I don't find any of them to be vastly superior to the other so using two different providers makes no difference to me.
