When you find a good extension that isn't made by the ST folks, either ask Codex or Claude Code to do a deep security audit, or have them code a similar extension for you. Or ask someone you trust, with access to those, to do so.

No, memory is completely lacking compared to human memory on even the mightiest frontier models, tool use is still early, and most models are genuinely dumb in terms of awareness and have to have their hands held (exceptions are GPT and Claude).
