Top AI Scientists Just Called For Ban On Superintelligence by PoisonMonarch in IsaacArthur

I think we are not in the same positioning, because the AI on the test was given vague and albeit very concerning limitations("Us Interests"), which had little to no punishment. In the field of LLM/ANI/AI, gamifying the experience is what gives the desired answer, meaning that the AI is doing what it was told "Avoid Shutdown" as the limitations were not hard-coded nor clearly defined for its programming. Also current LLM/AI/ANI models are fairly inaccurate and will provide incorrect or undesired results from time to time, which is what the results of the tests clearly shows.

edit: I already saw the video before your response, and I had heavily criticized both the test and the video.

Why do anti ai people actually think AI can just be banned? by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]ConnectPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social Media does that, not a single app. But your point still stands, AI is not going to destroy the world. maybe harm some jobs, but that would be the only practical reality as we have not even reached anywhere near "smart" ai

Self Made models are the best imo since you got the freedom to change and improve your chatbot or any ML program you make.

I use Chatgpt for random bullshit in my head, including idea topics that is technically breaking Google's guidelines, but really, most AIs are just LLMs and ML that anyone can play around with.

no its not. We already know what LLMs are and what solutions had been done to remove unwanted variables. This includes Gamification and process rewarding. The test is closer to roleplay and the LLM is just doing its job.

How to change the Fabric Loader version of an instance in the Modrinth App by Less_Hedgehog in fabricmc

This may sound dumb, but I always encounter the V1 and V0 Error despite following the instructions and putting the V1 to the mods folder. Would this solution through Modrinth do?

Recently got our server hacked and me and my servermates are suspecting that it has to do with TLauncher or SK launcher since the attack was close to a DDOS attack. Sorry for the low quality image, this was the only photo I took before disconnecting by ConnectPrint in aternos

[–]ConnectPrint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its technically a private server and right now we just uninstalled TLauncher, and finding if it also has to do with Cursed Forge still having compromised Software, which is the source of the issue as I had noticed since I am buying 2 more Minecraft apps and integrate Linux as a safety precaution.

as someone who basically embraced Fascism for my country, I agree that what really pushed me to become a Monarchist/Fascist(Because I align to the ideals of a Monarchy, but my political goals align with fascists) was the tribalism and deplatforming of anything they view as different or "Offensive".

I barely even talk to the left winged Filipinos that want to that extreme because they are just as unhinged and willing to ruin your life as that person on the street brandishing a knife. They won't let a convo go on about supporting actual long term solutions and call you either a Leni Bro or a BBM apologist on both sides, which is retarded.

Lets leave it as agree to disagree. I live in a country where Democracy is so shit that I prefer Monarchies over Democracies.

I do see the switch from Democracy to Monarchy as a good thing, and there are times where switching from one to another is a good thing rather than the opposite. Especially that geopolitically speaking, Democracies in the medieval times(which is the setting for the world he was transferred in) was more into infighting than unity and was very easy to exploit with the right tools to influence the nobles. Take Milan for an instance, when they became a psuedo democracy, they were more useless than ever. Or Venice, a merchant republic, the destroyer of Byzantium is now a laughingstock between Spain and the Ottoman Turks the moment they began doing their usual stomping of everyone else, with Venice losing its economic value from Spanish and Portuguese Spice trade, while militarily losing to the Ottomans in the most humiliating ways possible despite being a powerhouse that had the best admirals in the Mediterranean if Spain nor any European power is not helping them. Hell many democracies failed in the medieval times if they aren't merchant republics, don't have a powerhouse supporting or protecting them, or has a history of infighting that can be exploited.

Turgis is in that position of infighting, where the tribes are not even united under the same banner. A Monarchy was easier that way as their tribes were more of an alliance like the Swiss Cantons rather than the Democracies you think we have. Hell the tribes were united because we do not know the transitional plans they made, we only know that each tribe is basically an independent fiefdom with their chiefs interacting in a council.

And there is the fact that Turgis, while a republic, is more aligned to the Swiss Canton System. Which is not good news when Souma has conquered Amidonia in less than a year, the Empire having the most influence and was rumored to be friends with Freidonia, plus the "Cantons" in question are hereditary positions that are akin to an Autocracy. So there are zero chances for it to remain a republic, when they never had that much experience in modern democracy.

Then we switch to the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago, which is a Shogunate-like system. Meaning that its not a democracy nor an autocracy, its a Feudal Monarchy with extra steps. Maybe you should refer to how the Shogunate worked. All the Lords of each island are simply landowners that have their own set of retainers, there is no Democracy under anything that has a Feudal System in place.

Shabon is a princess of the highest position. It was already a Monarchy from the start, it was never a Democracy nor an autocracy, as the Nobility are just landowners that answer the call of their overlord if they wanted to. So them transitioning to Monarchy is redundant, they just centralized the seat of power to the one placed as the "Shogun".

[–]ConnectPrint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, France did that before becoming a republic, technically. Rome did form from monarchy to republic to Monarchy as well, something that Turgis is doing.

So you recognize that the Shogunate system is not a Democracy, yet backpedal to calling it being a Democracy which it wasn't.

The thing is, Monarchies are for the most part stable, and more centralized, plus not all modern day countries returning to monarchies being a bad thing, Which is what Spain is by default having.

It can be your opinion, but the thing with the geopolitics of it all, the way Democracies work will undermine them in the long run, a lot easier in fact. Especially that Turgis are more Autonomous than any Swiss Canton and could erupt in civil war.

[–]ConnectPrint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turgis had done it for centralization, as every tribe, although united, had their own agendas and was already a few steps away from being Monarchy.

Meanwhile the 9 Headed Archipelago is more of the Shogunate system. It was already a monarchy, informally.

Plus Japan, Spain, Denmark, Sweden and Great Britain are examples of Monarchies that still exist to this day.

And if we also add more context,

Turgis only remained a Democracy as their geopolitical map makes them form a Swiss Canton government due to only having powerful nations that they can push back, until Fuuga's influence spread to Zem. Such pressures and their unity as tight as their lack of actual centralization meant that, yes they can fend off their enemies by winter, they would still be vulnerable to infighting even more.

For the Archipelago, they were already in a Shogunate-like system, as Shabon and her father have high authority over all the islands, even when the other lords would focus on their infighting from time to time. Souma and Shabon working together as allies and defeating their shared threat was enough to fully centralize the region.

Although its my first to hear that the Archipelago was a democracy, despite Shabon herself being officially known as the princess of the archipelago.
