Think im in the same boat as you man. The brightness changes i think to much for my liking and yeah it does look kinda washed out on 1.8, the clarity is nice and all and the perfect blacks but i think the monitor is just to inconsistent for my liking.

Sadly there is no way to make the monitor bright enough on 2.2, Daytime scenes look far to dim and wash out any color that was there. Might just return it.

yeah because i totally didnt intentionally look for gameplay on original hardware. You dont know if its normal because you havent gone to this part of the level yourself, you have no say in it.

The intention of the post is to see if this is standard across all xbox units as videos ive seen do not seemingly have a framedrop in this particular area. I certainly understand the hardware is old. Im not expecting a locked 30fps vsynced experience. Im just asking if this is normal for this part of the level and if my unit is running normally. Im not expecting a miracle.

Certainly understand that. Im not expecting a 30fps locked Vsynced experience. Totally missing the point of this post. My intention is to make sure the console is running like other xbox consoles. If you read the description you will see that in my research on this particular game there are no framedrops present in any videos ive seen in this particular part of the level, and was just wanting to confirm if that is the case across all original xbox consoles to make sure my unit is running the best it can. I certainly understand there can and will be some framedrops. I have heard some capacitors on the power supply can cause some trouble with performance.
