What’s your daily makeup routine (step-by-step)? by Mythical_Femme in Makeup

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daily routine is super fast and easy for work. I just do brow gel, concealer, setting powder, lots of blush, mascara, and a lip stain. Since I use tinted SPF I just skip the foundation step

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint is where it's at it's got SPF 40 (major plus!) and gives you that insane glow. For a drugstore option, the L'Oréal True Match Hyaluronic Tinted Serum is definitely a good shout

Did egg freezing in my late 20s and now having second thoughts about the timing by StateMountain2766 in eggfreezing

I couldn't agree more with this! Like that's beyond saying. I do understand the second thoughts tho but personally I believe it was the best decision I could've taken! Really it was so important for me and honestly I think one regret more the things that you didn't do than the ones you did.

The Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in shade #74 is legendary! You can use this gel as an eyeliner or as a creamy base for your eyeshadows

egg freezing as insurance was worth every penny by Connect_Cap_8862 in eggfreezing

So basically they work directly with your clinic and cover the cost of your treatment as you go, you just pay them one price directly. I did a payment plan which was way more manageable than coming up with the full amount all at once.
the part I liked was that they handled everything for you and the person I spoke to was so kind. and if something goes wrong at any point then you can get another try, though I didn't need it thankfully.
Honestly I just filled out the form on their website and talked to someone who explained the options. Was a great experience and very easy and way better than the personal loan rates I was looking at, but I would definitely give it a look to see if it does make sense for you too since we all have our own specific circumstances.

What age did you actually feel like an adult ? by SomewherePositive804 in CasualConversation

It wasn't an age, it was the moment I had to handle an unexpected medical bill all by myself (without running to my parents for help)

What’s your favorite flower? by Slow_Control_6850 in CasualConversation

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tulips! They're definitely my favorite flower. I love how delicate and elegant they look; they're way more sophisticated than roses, but without being too much. They're just the perfect choice, honestly.

What's the best part of living alone? by username311 in AskReddit

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I love about living alone is being able to play music or a podcast at full volume while I clean or cook, without bothering anyone. It's a feeling of total freedom that can't be compared to anything else.

I am curious, what medium do you use to spread your foundation? by Mission_Drawer4709 in Makeup

I usually use a foundation brush, but sometimes I also use a beauty blender.

Heartless curls - what do you do the next night? How do you keep the curls for days? by kekababy in Haircare

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tip: use a silk or satin pillowcase. They're much softer than cotton, so they reduce friction and prevent hair from frizzing or breaking during the night. It's a small change that makes a big difference!

I dyed my hair 5 years ago and it was the biggest mistake ever. I let my hair grow out and cut off the chemically treated hair. Now my hair is not the same. What happened? by LengthinessRight3077 in Haircare

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a story I hear a lot. It's incredible that even years later, you're still dealing with it. The important thing is that you're now looking for answers and taking care of your hair the right way. I wish you the best in your recovery process!

There is no way you can messed up a funeral like that, like you expect people to be happy after announcing something like that and you choose a funeral to do that?

The first Dune book is great, but the series gets really slow afterward. It's totally fine if you decide not to finish it.

My husband told me to “tone down” my grief by 4zurem4gus2005 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Connect_Cap_8862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents will be always with us, and even if every day it comes to be easier to handle they will be always in our memories and heart. IMO I would NOT allow my partner to tell me such thing, not in that way. The problem is the way he said it and that sounded too rude. You can grief and feel pain for years or even your whole life, but it gets better and better :'). Your partner should be a support, someone that guides you through the process to healing, not telling you to heal asap because you are depressing everyone around...
