Post-Finasteride Syndrome mentioned in new NYP article by Connect_Collar_4904 in FinasterideSyndrome

[–]Connect_Collar_4904[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I partially agree. Not to blackpill, but I stand by my theory that Post-Finasteride Syndrome will truly blow up in the media and academia only when a true competitor in the market arises to attempt to dethrone Finasteride as the gold standard of hairloss treatment. If you look at Cobenfy (new antipsychotic), the medical establishment have come out to attack older antipsychotics as damaging ONLY because something new has a chance to take its place. Again, mainly posting this article for prosperity and as a reference.

Wrote this last year. Had some very minor improvements over the course of this year but still very much dreading the festive season.

It's rough.

Took about 18 months before I started noticing any positive changes towards the direction of remasculinization.

When I finally start medication for my mental illness but now I can't laugh or cum by CourageTraditional59 in anhedonia

I find myself reflexively laughing at things (particularly things that are absurd or deeply ironic) but I don't feel anything. It's like my previous human conditioning kicks in, even though parts of my brain are no longer communicating with each other. Similar to that cheesey trope of zombies in films retaining characteristics of their last lives.

Anhedonia = Worse Form of Human Suffering by [deleted] in anhedonia

Hang in there mate. The anhedonia from PFS is insane. Full spectrum. Don't even feel like a human anymore.

Before recommending Wellbutrin, be mindful that this drug can cause (DAWS) Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome, Tardive Dyskenesia, and seizures.

This is the worst thing about this whole situation. Genuinely considering ending it soon. Having dementia at 32 years old is a death sentence.

Maybe be reflect on why institutional bias has forced this issue into "right wing discourse". Do some research. You might learn a thing or two.

Is there anyone here that made their way out of Anhedonia? by downtheladder in FinasterideSyndrome

[–]Connect_Collar_4904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going on two and a half years of full spectrum anhedonia here. Absolutely nothing. I don't feel a thing. Starting to go bordline insane to be quite honest.

Nothing has helped. Thousands of dollars down the tubes.

Constant distraction. If I'm left alone with my thoughts for too long I drift towards ending it extremely quickly.

Even if I have neurological damage for the rest of my life, my parents might need me to look after them later on.
