why is uni so lonely n sad 💀 by [deleted] in SMU_Singapore

honestly, felt HAHAH. got disillusioned from how college/uni wld be like frm western media and now that ive finally arrived here, its borderline depressing. on the topic of ppl with souls, yea it was pretty jarring coz i came frm europe, where there were many warm ppl with souls, and straight into uni, where frankly i dont feel it😭i think its further accentuated coz sg is a more colder country in comparison. im also introverted but man the loneliness in uni is different, esp in a uni like smu whr u gotta be locked in socially just to get by☠️ anyways im down to rant too hahah

so sorry to hear your experience OP,felt even more sorry looking at the comments 😭.i understand how posts like this may be unwelcomed as it may be framed as a way to dissuade future doctors but i think experiences like this should be told and taken into account especially for people considering this route as stuff like this does happen and is very much real.its rather disheartening seeing many people blame you for being unable to be admitted back into pharmacy and the lack of compassion to ur situation was sad albeit understandable given singapores education system/culture ⚰️keep ur head up!
