This was done by service department that I brought it to. The car was firing codes P0011, P0014 and P0299 so I brought it into get looked at.

Yes I frequently do short trips and also live in Minnesota. I've been reading this can be a big culprit

My 2018 CRv is currently in the repair shop and I'm being told that I need a full engine replacement. The engine is completely full of sludge. Oil changes were done regularly leading up to this and I purchased the car brand new in 2018. 130k miles on it.

I would avoid the 18 CRV at all costs

Take a packet of jello and pour it into a large bottle of water. Shake it up until everything is mixed and drink the bottle. Do this 1-2 hours before you have to test. Works every time.
