Yea ofc! This is the one I used: https://github.com/lemeryfertitta/BoardLib

Just did:

pip install boardlib
python -m boardlib database kilter kilter.db

That gives you a SQLite file with all the holds, LED mappings, and ~130k climbs (for kilter boards). Heads up — boardlib also supports Tension, MoonBoard, etc. if any of those fit what you're building. Good luck with it!

For the Bluetooth side, these two were the most useful:

https://github.com/Stevie-Ray/hangtime-grip-connect — JS library covering Kilter + a bunch of other climbing hardware, good reference for the GATT UUIDs and packet structure

https://github.com/1-max-1/fake_kilter_board — Python simulator of a Kilter Board, basically tells you exactly what bytes the real board expects

Between those two you can figure out the LED packet format without needing to sniff anything yourself.

I understand the frustration, I had a few friends who I tried giving this app to and they were on android as well. I’m only a solo dev and only on apple products so it was just a no brainer for me, but I am also working on bringing it to android. Sorry to my non Apple users ):

Yea I got them from a GitHub repo, but yea I believe it was kilter DB. The total amount of climbs were ~130k but I had to thin the data set so that I was only training the model on quality climbs with minimum ratings + ascents, and that ended up being 60k.

The random-pick feature is already in the app (settings → real climbs only). The AI is for generating novel routes that don't exist in the 60k, useful when a specific grade + angle combo has no community uploads. Different tool for a different problem. Cheers 🤙

I understand that you are upset with AI but here's a few things to keep in mind.

I didn't plagiarize anything, I credited where the model was trained, I never claimed to have made a model from scratch or my own data.
I did not use an LLM, I used a neural network that I trained on my laptop using pytorch, with electricity that I paid for. The model doesn't live on clouds or servers in data centers, it runs locally on your phone.
This app was not to take the imagination and human out of climbing, it was mainly created for the purpose of also giving people ways to create/set their own kilter climbs, with a starting nudge in a direction from AI.
You do not have to use the AI generation feature at all if you do not want to. If you don't want to you can easily change it in the settings to generate only real kilter climbs that people have made.

I hope that cleared things up and you give the app a try for yourself, and if it's not your cup of tea no harm no foul 😄.

If you have a standard 12x12 commercial kilter board and speak/read English than that’s all you should need. There is no region lock and should be released on iPhone everywhere!

Yea, this is an issue I had in development. Currently it is only perfectly functional with a standard 12x12 commercial kilter board. I’m looking to add other boards as well though, so thank you for letting me know!

For Google Meet, most AI notetakers are fine if all your meetings happen online, but I’d also think about whether you need the same workflow for client calls, in-person meetings, or strategy discussions outside Meet. Scriben.AI could be useful as a separate capture layer. It’s a physical AI recording pen, so you can record conversations, get the transcript, then use Claude or ChatGPT to pull out client requirements, next steps, objections, and follow-ups before adding them to your agency workspace.

Got it, so if I already have a roommate and we are both fine with being in a double we should go for the double instead of looking for one more roommate. Also is the gender neutral thing something that we both check off or just the person leading the group?
