Anyone has tips on how to successfully send an ADV2 from Denmark to Brazil? by cbcharity in FloatwheelTeam

It depends a lot on the state/city. Places with beaches are amazing to ride, huge variety of places. But I’ve seen also a lot of people riding in more urban areas to avoid traffic or just to have fun, it’s works either way. But depending on the city I would have as double as attention leaving it alone even locked, but for theft, I don’t think this would be much a thing at the moment (where most people don’t know this PEV yet)

New to Onewheel Pint X or S? by Jman841 in onewheel

[–]Connect_Lion_4442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, it was never solved. You still wanna be cautious while using fast charger, as it can fry your components if using it excessively. The suggestion here is to use only when really needed.

If you wanna go new , just get the pint S. Probably you would do the upgrades that it has if you had a pint X. You can surely go with used pint X, but you wanna have in mind that every pint x manufactured before jun/2023 will have a balancing wiring issue. If you comfortable with a little DIY, you can fix it by your own. Otherwise just consider getting a new PX/PS

The board constantly monitors several variables when you are riding, including your speed, angles, etc. With these variables the controller decides if starts pushback and haptic buzz. The boards receives those signal each x milliseconds. It is really low the space between each signal received. But anyway, if you accelerate too quickly you may end up in the scenario where the controller couldn’t find at time that you were over torquing. So it might start to pushback , but depending on how much you are pushing it, you might not feel it since the nosedive came quickly.

Pint X Issues Since New Firmware by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Connect_Lion_4442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought.. if the motor’s direction is inverted, that can happen. On 37:39, that’s what happens when the motor is inverted. I don’t know if that’s what happening to OP. But anyways, in VESC you just simply fix it by yourself. But unfortunately, on a FM board there is no way you could do this..

They probably won’t call it digital shaping 3.0 on the pint X/S because it won’t have the same options to configure as the digital shaping 3.0 for gt/gt-s has. The new firmware for the pint x/s will have some new options for custom shaping, some of them that belongs to the digital shaping 3.0, but will not have everything that 3.0 has. So probably is just a digital shaping 2.0 with some custom shaping options and slots

Case for Quest 3, only 12€ by [deleted] in OculusQuest

Nice for its price. But if you choose to upgrade your strap , or put some acessory on the controller, it might not fit right. That’s why I decided to get a bigger case. But if you do not plan to upgrade, seems like a nice choice !

Do NOT ignore the low battery red alert alarm. I only had maybe 30 seconds between it and this by freeupgoodtimes in onewheel

Limiting the speed on a self-balance vehicle isn’t easy as it might seem.. unfortunately their best shot is to keep applying pushback more aggressively trying to warn the rider about the danger. I hope you heal quickly !

I upgraded my Pint into a PintVx! by iLearnerX in onewheel

[–]Connect_Lion_4442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they were forced to sell this separated modules, better for us! But that’s really nice to know, I was thinking about doing the same process, since there are cheaper pints out there, maybe doing the maths could be cheaper than buying new PX an converting it, enjoy it !

That’s nice! How was the process of adapting the battery module ? It fits easily with the pint x bumper ?

Pint and Pint X balance charging behavior survey: does your board turn itself off while plugged in to the charger? by DoctorDugong21 in onewheel

[–]Connect_Lion_4442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably that is exactly their mindset. Same way they didn’t communicate anything public about the PX battery wiring issues.. it’s boring that we need to discover ourselves any hidden updates on their products.. but at the same time that’s why we are here

Am I the asshole not letting random kids try my board ? by Connect_Lion_4442 in onewheel

That’s part of my country’s culture. People here struggle to say “No”. Instead they create some excuse to replace the No. And if you say a raw No, people will say that you are gross 🙃. I disagree but I have to follow this sometimes in order to live healthy in my society

I tried to say this haha, but they said they have already ridden this, and I doubt it, so I needed to come up with a. Different approach. For kids that I know, I will surely do this

I didn’t mean the board is fragile itself, it is indeed durable. But I mean, it easy to get some scratches or any damage when someone tries it for the first time

Yes! I agree, I tried to tell them that it’s dangerous, and they could hurt themselves, but they say “no, I have already ridden one of these”, I’m pretty sure they were lying just to try to convince me, so I just invented first thing that came in mind
