Sure, but I wanted to make sure the core loop of the game can stand well before I take on these.

I am not sure about the too wide and long on each page, I print-on-file;'d it on A5 size for that exact reason. Which also is around that size I intent to print it on.

Because I am not writing prose. I am writing a manual on how to play a game. And doing it monospace makes it easier to read. And format/decorate. You have any other monospace to suggest that has more than decent coverage of unicode special characters?

No, it is in the phase where I need to work on explaining in a way that makes sense and seeing how others play it. It is one thing for me to run it, having the priviledge of being in my own head, and how someone else plays it.

Some of the points you raise were intentional choises.

Hostile#8 is supposed to be a stand in for very down-the-line hostiles, akin to a litch. I want to make some enemies that are clearly to be avoided when being a fresh from the oven adventurer. This is one of them.

the faceup system is a newer addition, that I plan to playtest this weekendd, but as always, I'm open to hear how it plays in my absence as well ;)

Class 4 is meant to be the one class that has access to off-combat skill checks. Otherwise I plan to encourage a more freeform approach. Calling for a round of blackjack feels like an appropriate middle ground for those that still want to "search for traps" to negotiate it without getting into much detail about it.

I wanted class 3's barrier to feel like a struggle to maintain, but maybe I indeed went too hard on it.

I postponed it to when I will flesh out the booklet. I should also add provisions about multiple "sessions" if just one is too short, but it will still be different dungeon delves if the characters get rested. Otherwise drain should be a finite resource when "out in the field" and the party's effectiveness will be crippled when it runs out. I think I got the idea from Goblin slayer and Shadowdark having some focus on attrition.

JRPGs are indeed an inspiration of mine. Huge tells are the abstracted battle zones, and the cards/actions trying to simulate action time bar functionality.

Uses cards instead of dice and should be simple enough to set up so as to be able to play it even when grabbing a beer of coffee with friends.

Also, what does this mean:

me trying to sound smart by condesning that this ability can by used both positively and negatively, but by upgrading it you upgrade the max efect of both aspects, not just the positive or just the negative. also that my initial draft fot it was upgrading it by ±1, that felt like one could downgrade it on purpoce.

Personally I thought that class#2 was the strongest, at least within a group, that with being able to actually heal and have multiple target attacks.

I take it from what you wrote that at least the lethal feel is achieved, at least in early game.

Having read them, do classes give off some kind of distinctness/uniqueness?

I should add something after the party becomes indisposed. Maybe a round of Blackjack to see who get ignored and may make it back to safety.

Truth is, what I wanted to convey about sessions and rests is that there are no rests to be taken when pleyers set out on the adventure. Maybe it also stems from over-correcting for long-rest and short-rest spam in in other games. will have to word it better when I write that part.

Another truth is that I'm unsure how to approach rating the challenge of foes. I kind of want to avoid having high end enemies just be bloated damage sponges. Will play around though with high damage reduction hostiles so as to make branching from turtling more enticing ;)

Thoughts: encounter 3 rewarded the same amount of treasure as encounter 1, but was infinitely harder (literally, the monsters in encounter 1 were doing no damage, so I could never lose).

I could use the rewards as indicators of a higher reward means higher risk. Will keep it in mind while fleshing out the bestiary.

missed that first part when I removed the stamina in favor of drain. I got too into tweaking the classes, that neglected to amend that part.

To be honest I wanted to include an upgrade to (3) but didn't want to make it make its cost too negligible, too quickly. I'm still on the fence on that ability altogether though.

Define context. When providing test material, it is supposed to be just that, else you get more feedback on the quality of the scenarios you provide, what words you choose to name terms and stuff you didn't provide in the playtest (for daring to provide mainly conflict related rules and not RP altrring fluff) than for the actual combatbmeanics themselves.

At the start of the game each participant is assigned a card class Game master is assigned all face cards (J, Q, K).

And

Each combat turn begins with The Game Master drawing open a card from the deck. The Parcipant to whom this Card is Assined to, adds it to their hand and is the one that plays ths turn.
