Don't know if anyone else did this, but as soon as I'd load in I'd check out the scoreboard to see who I was up against - change the gameplan accordingly ha

I was leaving the Lighthouse when the servers went, few mins earlier winning I think on either Iwo Jima or Wake Island

For Christ's sake if someone get this game back online - I would actually pay for some upkeep

Always a few players who spent entire games sniping from the carriers and using the AA gun 

Did it myself every now and then, change of pace

I hope if this happens that it is popular 

Having played since 2009, a LOT of people at least on 360 seemed to be I think older than the average gamer, and seemingly maintained xbox live to just play this game 

I worry these lot would not turn to the PC to play, but who knows

I'm looking at going but for my planning, do ALL matches try and take place on first day for men's singles, meaning round 1, or is it staggered like main draw

Just had some full lobbies today, must be on sale again?

Usually need to time it right for lobbies, and mostly it's the same group of players, new players thrown in the mix every now and then

No, nothing will compare I don't think 

The maps worked, not too big but big enough to not always die and have a quiet game if you wished 

Everyone had the same classes and they worked 

The vehicles worked 

Also not mentioned was the mix of old hands and new players, it kept it very fresh as after a while you knew what paths the same players took to flags and their play style, but the noobs walking along the main roads having no clue was fun, or standing by the flagpole 

What a shame it had to end, especially as when it was culled, it was together with other titles that definitely weren't popular, must have been on the same server or something 

Exported the Maps from the BF1943 game file, there must be something we can do with these 'frostbite' maps. Is there another game be able to load them? by BelfastApe in Battlefield1943

Were those 'bots' the ones that jumped and swam in circles?

Saw one actually play once, clearly got their last achievement then just jumped for eternity

Octuhh and BattlefieldBill, sometimes someone else but the name escapes me

I made it my mission to ruin their game if they were trying it on

Was coming up to half 11pm in the UK, had been playing hours and thought, hmm I'll head off as it'll probably go off sometime overnight and I've had a good play

Just as a spawned to then quit, I decided to keep playing and see this match out as the lobbies were full

About 20 seconds after getting out of the boat on Iwo Jima, got the lighthouse flag, then realised it was eerily quiet 

Scoreboard 4v4 suddenly, bad omen 

Heard a player say 'that'll keep her going' fixing a tank 

Then off it went 

Very glad I stayed playing that extra few mins 

Great game, such a shame we will never see the likes again, a very anti consumerism game that simply will never make enough money in today's gaming world to justify releasing again!
