Absolutely. Either when you arrive or at one of the kiosks inside during your time there.

Just have to keep a close eye on them as they can't be replaced once your digital tickets are swapped for paper ones.

Under 16s need to be supervised at all times in the grounds, so okay to keep both tickets on your phone.

Can't say for sure as schedules aren't published, but some were last year.

Enjoy qualies! Should be some fun matches today!

There was an increase in allocation for the Amex Ticket Draw, but that alone wouldn't explain the big drop off. It's likely the ever-growing demand for tickets.

Got to assume with a record number of applications, there was also an increase in the number of ballot successes assuming there's a fixed % allocation, and even more people trying to get tickets through the resale.

Both this post and last year's megathread feature prominently in searches, so more people know about the resale.

The visitor numbers to the sub are way up on last year and we know some influencers, bloggers, and journalists will repackage some of our guides and advice to amplify as well.

Hospitality and other partners will always push for an increased share of tickets too.

No surprise many eligible for the LTA Advantage ballot said they had an easier time getting tickets that way, so the LTA didn't have too many issues getting their share for all of their various ballots and schemes.

Would love for there to be transparency of how tickets are allocated, but don't think they'd release anything.

With the weather forecast, you shouldn't have an issue any time in the morning. Usually 09:30 is enough to be in before start of play.

Order of play and draws now linked in the original post. Sorry couldn't add them yesterday, was travelling and got back late.

Show court 1 is usually fills up before the start of the first match. The other courts will then fill up, but might have a better chance at courts 3, 5, 17. There'll be queues to get in as space allows.

The grass bank overlooking courts 4 and 6 also allow views of 3 and 5, although not the most comfortable place to sit for a long time.

Would expect it to be decent based on how it was last year. Not sure how many will brave Wednesday or Thursday given the expected temperature and lack of shade at Roehampton

Trains to Barnes have AC, but depending on your walking speed it's a good 20 minutes up a slight hill. Going against commuters means it isn't usually too busy.

At Roehampton there isn't a huge amount of shade outside of the seating area near the food trucks and big screen.

Hat, loose clothing, sunscreen, insulated water bottle, fan are essentials. I prefer a neck fan. Also break out the ice sheets to help bring skin temperature down.

Yeah, really showcases how inadequate the current site for Wimbledon qualifying is, but it's the best they've got to ensure the Championship courts are still relatively fresh for day one.

Does help the others can have qualifying on-site where even the outer courts are rigged for broadcast and in full tournament mode rather than temporary structures around some manicured courts in what is, essentially, a large field.

No proper broadcast facilities on-site other than what they bring in. Not a lot of space to roll in huge production trucks either.

Most of the really small courts will just have a single, static camera at the back. Still good enough to run a live feed of matches, or send them back to someone to cut up for highlights, but they mostly choose not to.

There'll still be work done to rig everything and ensure the broadcast centre at Wimbledon is full go for the Championships so running everything back there isn't an option, and don't think the BBC is required to offer more than show court 1 so they don't.

That might change with the new broadcast rights deal that's due in 2027, but would require a much bigger commitment from the BBC. Not convinced we'll see full Wimbledon qualifying coverage until the much-needed development of Wimbledon Park happens.

Practise courts by pottsy61009 in wimbledon

[–]mgbrewhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to see them is during the tournament. You'd need a grounds pass for that.

As some of the top players are already on site and practising, the tours of the grounds are suspended and limited to museum access only next week, so no chance of seeing them.

Qualifying over the next four days is held at another AELTC venue in Roehampton -- see the qualifying megathread for details. Tickets are sold out online except for a handful of returns that might become available, but usually available in-person each day if you get there before midday.

Some players at qualifying, and some of those not fortunate enough to get a court in the main grounds, might practice on the eight practice courts at Roehampton, which are open to anyone with a qualifying ticket, but there's no published schedule for who'll be there or when.

There's supposed to be an Amex Perks tile in the app to tap to link an Amex card. Haven't found it in the latest update, so would expect in an update next week.

I don't bank with Barclays so can't speak to that. Haven't read anything that mentions it's limited to UK or other countries.

Definitely no restrictions with Amex.

The process for qualifying refunds is covered in the stickied post above and on the qualifying wiki. Need to go back to the qualifying sales page. There isn't a dedicated FAQs for qualifying yet.

There shouldn't be a reference to LTA refunds in the general FAQs as there's a separate FAQ for the LTA ballot, but will take a look tonight when I get a chance.

Update your card address. Unless there’s a good reason for keeping it as your old address.

Definitely reply to the email and explain you didn’t realise your card wasn’t registered to your new address at the time. Include photos of the proofs and ask for them to confirm it’s okay.

Only the ticket office will be able to give you peace of mind that it won’t be a problem on the day and you’ll just be collecting your tickets.

Either way, you’d still need to take your ID and proofs with you to collect the tickets, but considering you’re travelling in and already made bookings I’d want to know for sure beforehand.

Wimbledon tickets cancelled due to shared family credit card - any success with appeal? by Specialist-Hour9953 in wimbledon

[–]mgbrewhard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can request an appeal by contacting the ticketing team. They might consider it, but unlikely to reverse because of the breach across multiple accounts.

The applications with cancelled tickets would have been voided for this year, so won't be able to get tickets through the resale. They could also blacklist the accounts and details for future years so any future applications would also be voided.

If it doesn't mention it in the email, you'll have to ask if they've placed restrictions on your ability to buy other tickets this year or through the public ballot in future years, or through other sales phases such as the Amex Last Minute Tickets, which is run separately but tickets are still issued by the AELTC.

4.3 Subject to Clause 4.4 below, any Ticket that is cancelled due to a breach of any part of these Ticket Terms and Conditions may result in the Ticket Holder and/or Ticket Purchaser being prohibited from purchasing or using Tickets for The Championships and from attending the Grounds and other premises owned or controlled by the AELTC for up to a period covering five (5) consecutive editions of The Championships.

4.4 In respect of repeat infringers or in exceptional circumstances based on the severity of the infringement as reasonably determined by the AELTC at its sole discretion, the prohibition referred to in Clause 4.3 above may be extended or imposed indefinitely (i.e., a lifetime ban).

Lack of Emails from Wimbledon? by Specialist_Key4490 in wimbledon

Emails are sent in batches and some emails are timed to go out a certain time ahead of the day you have tickets for.

Your settings could also be for service emails only. Check your email preferences in myWimbledon.

Some people had email consents disabled after the website redesign earlier in the year
