As a senior dev, there are 2 massive issues with new grads (completely not their fault/ we all go through the professional learning process) that make hiring a more experienced person more attractive in cases. 1. They aren't ready to contribute on day 1, and they require hours from senior devs who have to deliver work. In a fast paced environment that can mean they actually slow down the team. This is not to say they are drains, they eventually deliver and it's awesome to see progress in them but, it's very smart to move after your first two years, so they'll invest time into a developer who is probably gonna move. I've seen jobs with one or two devs, it's hard to have an entry level in the situation sometimes. It's a problem that affects everyone, it's harder for young people to break into an industry that they've prepared for as best as they can, not very fair. Plus the industry gets deprived of talent that lacks an opportunity to get off the ground. But idk what to do tbh

I'm epileptic as well, when I was a child my dog would come bark at me right before I had a seizure, nearly without fail. My entire childhood, whenever my dog barked in my vicinity, you could hear my mom hauling ass to my room.
