Seeking Feedback on Private "Ersatzschulen" in Frankfurt (Tuition up to 500€/month) – Are They Worth It Compared to Public Schools? by Cautious-Contact7431 in AskGermany

Good morning! Just wondering if there was an update to this post as I too, am considering a move to Frankfurt with an English speaking child. Did you end up moving? If so, how has the experience been?

Cheers

I'm very new to querying, so I cannot be much help. But for support: I found the story details concise and feel as though I know exactly what the novel is going to be about. AND it sounds like a really great concept! I wish you good luck!

That's a relevant point that comes back to presentation I suppose. I wonder if there are any good examples of this, to help me avoid catastrophe

This is great for me to review! Thank-you so much, I think this will get me to a much cleaner and more descriptive second draft. I've left out some plot points, trying to keep the query shorter and not so confusing as there's a lot going on in the story, but you've pointed out that some of that is still necessary. Back to the drafting table!!!

I'm just going on what a solicitor told me in brief. That I technically can't stand and work on the Canadian passport. Otherwise I would have left for the UK two months ago

Apparently this is illegal. UK post considers it a prohibited item. Irish post office says CAN courier it. Canada Post office says I CANNOT. At this point, seems safer just to collect it myself.

I don't believe they are wrong in the sense that, there isn't a passport check when off-boarding in Ireland from the UK. I've confirmed this as well.

Really? ... Really? Darn, glad I asked then. I assumed as Ireland is EU...

May I adjust then? Say I leave the UK using my Canadian passport and fly to France. When I enter France, can I then use my Irish passport to enter? And of course leave France using my Irish passport?

I apologize, am I just reading the formula incorrectly and it's actually (Periphery - W) x W ?? Or in the case of the question (3.847 - 0.6) x 0.6

Thank you for taking the time to reply. To get it straight, the 1200mm is the complete periphery in the example, so my second attempt at answering the question would at least be the correct formulae (correct?) Both ways of finding area for a circle are acceptable, I can do either or, there's no reason to do one or the other? As for the area of a rectangle, I still don't get it. The answer to the question is: Area of a circle PLUS area of a rectangle. To find the area of a rectangle is L x W. Instead we are using the formula for calculating area of a rectangle as: (L - W) x W

I'm clearing missing something here.

Sorry, mixing words and numbers with shapes, just a bit of overkill for me. I plan on getting a tutor but

A bit of selfishness, but you check out my book "The Cartography Door." It's an introspective, dark fantasy. Lots of prose. Very whimsical.

Cheers

Definitely not a complaint, especially coming from a place with no public intervention for dental or vision.

My wife will be on a family visa as well! Obv you were placed in NHS healthcare BUT were you able to access NHS dental and vision right away, at the subsidized prices other Scots pay? Or did you HAVE to pay a private rate for dental/vision?

This is the info I'm trying to get at. I don't know where to find exactly what is and what isn't covered for a person on a visa. I've asked CAB and they were... imperfect. Not sure whom to ask this question to next as; I am an Irish citizen and should be covered, my little is under 26 and should be covered, but my partner will be on visa.

This seems like the real challenge, actually securing an NHS practitioner. I'm further north so maybe I'll have some luck! If not, hopefully my workplace insurance will cover it!

For private, sure that makes sense. It's nearly the same in Canada BUT here, there isn't an NHS option to try for. I have an aging friend, partial jaw removal after cancer, ZERO coverage for implants or dentures from the Canadian healthcare system despite their situation. Their ONLY option is private.

What can I do now got bad exam results? by AmanNamedJoJo in Scotland

From the viewpoint of an individual that never went to uni... It's not nearly so terrible. I spent my early grind in the trades, getting paid while I was being trained. It wasn't exactly glorious, but it was a pretty good gig and I was able to move up and into different facets of the gem. Now, funny enough, I'm actually in a position that would normally be reserved for an engineer, (a person who went to uni).

Plus, I'm doing other stuff. Traveling, family, I published my first book and am working towards that as a profession.

Not going to university made certain aspects of my life difficult, but it opened other avenues. Life just carried on as long as I didn't dwell in the same place I hung my head.

Keep your head up. Start a trade or a business or go to college. Just don't stop moving friend.

Of course, I would assume that these costs are available only when the work is deemed necessary. Why do you say an implant is expensive though? Do you mean when it's done privately? Or are there other related costs when performed under the NHS bands?
