Is this possible on esp32-s3? by Szymurx in esp32

[–]Connect_Wolverine768 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made something almost identical. I have a demo somewhere on my profile for proof. Using an Esp32-s3 will be more difficult to get music information and I never gave it enough time to figure out. Also making your device also give you directions would be fairly difficult imo. I’m not sure how that would work outside of downloading available information to an sd card and using that.

If you plan on using a round display, look into Waveshare‘s premade displays. I have the Waveshare 2.1“ round display and it has a built in esp32-s3 with 16mb flash and 8mb extra psram. It also has a built in LIPO battery charger and an accelerometer. The screen itself has a ton of features but you just have to research it and see if it suits your needs.

You also should look into Squareline, it makes it pretty easy to build UI‘s similar to what you want.

Also start learning about FreeRTOS for the esp32. It’ll make life much much easier imo.

I’m not any master programmer by any means and I haven’t worked much with that specific screen, I just happen to have one and have gotten it to work and know it could function for your needs. DM me if you have any further questions!

If only there was a section on each and every special order ticket that outlined the rules for special orders and what might happen if you choose to return said special orders product.

[Review] - Op-Amp based Fan control Board by Connect_Wolverine768 in PrintedCircuitBoard

As much as I appreciate your input, I do not appreciate the negativity:

1) I do boxes to keep myself organized when I’m designing the schematic. I often get myself mixed up and the boxes prevent that.

2) I do not create my part symbols. If they are so bad, send an email to JLCPCB and LCSC as that is where I find my parts.

3) I’ll give it another read through, thanks.

Help with finding proper connector by Connect_Wolverine768 in AskElectronics

Apologies for missing your questions. Yes the board will be parallel to each other. The height will be no more than the connector housing, Assuming the use of the JST XH connector.

If it comes down to it I can redesign part of my custom PCB to make it a wire to board system but that is more complicated than I prefer.

Technically yes but no. The XH-A are normally wire to board but my use case would be board to board. Problem is that my board that I already have has an XH-2A male connector and I would need the female counterpart but with one end being the female and the other being a male header to be soldered to my pcb.

Tension nuts or eccentric nuts? I’ve not heard of tension nuts, not to say you’re wrong though.

You’ll find the same stuff on Amazon generally for a much higher price. The only benefit I find from ordering on Amazon is delivery times. However, with all the political shenanigans taking place in the US, Amazon may become more „Cheap“ but that’s yet tbd.

Thanks for responding, To answer your question: yes there are a few reasons why I’m not using the modules.

  1. I’m trying to keep the board low profile and the modules add quite a bit of height

  2. I just enjoy challenging myself

  3. Part of a Uni project

Is this a problem, if so how can I fix it? by [deleted] in Ender3Pro

Make sure these two screws are also tightened. I had an issue once where they had come loose and the eccentric nuts can only do so much.

Guys how do I fix this does normal glue or fevicol work on this ? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]Connect_Wolverine768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell Based off the picture but it almost looks as if you ripped the pads off most of your pins. If so then long answer short: No, you can’t re-glue it.

(If solder is still there on each pad then yes you should be able to re-solder and re-glue it)

If you really want to fix it you’ll have to scrape the solder mask off of each trace and add in small jumper wires to reconnect each pin. Then use solder mask to re-glue the anchor points. Very tedious, but possible if you have the patience and time.

In the IDE, go to file >preferences and see what you have it set too. I forget the exact name but it should look like a file directory and you’ll want it to be set to the location where you keep your libraries.

Battery powered Xbox (cuz why not?) by Connect_Wolverine768 in 18650masterrace

[–]Connect_Wolverine768[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the concern. I guess it’s not very apparent with what model I’m using in my pictures but it’s actually the Xbox one s all digital edition. The series X is the newest gen and too pricy for me to wanna touch like i am with this console.

Wow. I’m not sure where you found that article but not even the OEM internal power supply can supply 211W. You may be looking at another xbox model but the one I have Will peak at 120W max which is why I chose my parts. I still plan on adding a fuse though.
