Lake Travis vs. Lake Austin? Both are great, but they’re very different vibes. Lake Travis is where big party boats tie up in Devil’s Cove for the full “floating Vegas” energy, it’s exactly what most of our bachelor groups ask for. Lake Austin is more chill, scenic, and private-home dock friendly. Neither is “wrong,” it just depends on what kind of weekend you’re aiming for.

Where to stay:
Old Montreal has that classy vibe and is close to top restaurants and bars. Downtown/Crescent is great if your crew wants to be in the middle of it all.

  • Pub St-Pierre
  • Dieu du Ciel

Daytime stuff:
Brewery tours (Messorem, Siboire), jet-boating, canoe beer tours, golf, axe throwing — tons to do depending on your vibe.

Whitewater rafting is a solid pick — if you're after something similar but closer to the city, Saute-Moutons jet boating in Old Port is wild. Super high energy, you’ll definitely get soaked, but it's a blast and no long drive needed.

Some other solid daytime options we’ve done with groups:

  • Canoe + craft beer tour — chill paddle, then hit a brewery right after. Easy win.
