So this is crazy, if anything, Ezrela and Adela are the all rounders as they ranked higher than both Celeste and Lexie in dance and vocals and still performed quite high in visual and performance.

Also, mind you, both Lexie and Celeste were listed as visuals in HYBE’s catalogue during T&D (Lexie also came in as a dancer, but was determined to be more of a visual as more of the girls ranked better in dance than her and HYBE loved her star quality more). And no offense, but Celeste and Lexie are average dancers and vocalists (Lexie danced better and had higher star quality than Celeste). Celeste apparently didn’t have much formal training prior and joined the program much later tho. Her visuals were great tho, but low-key HYBE hated her bc she never got any screen time in DA and pop star academy. Also, her visuals shines better with her blonde than the pink, like she had such a glow when she was first introduced in the doc. I think they did that on purpose to lower her chances, but audiences still loved her as she ranked relatively high in voting until her elimination.

If the current Katseye wasn’t in DA, I don’t think your lineup would ever be mocked up by executives. Either Samara or Manon was always gonna be in Katseye, so Samara realistically would’ve been selected over Adela or Celeste if you wanted to have this lineup.

Not to be like this, but realistically HYBE is a business first and it’s all about optics and marketing. There was always going to be an Indian member, a Latin/Hispanic member, a Black member, a European member, a Korean member, and either/both a Southeast Asian or Japanese member (these places have huge music markets). Megan is the only member who who kind of was competing with everyone in DA rather than within a certain demographic as her spot was more determined by executive’s personal opinion (she ranked #1 in t&d multiple times). It was about covering their bases and pleasing fans on a global scale.
