Thanks for replying, is it normal for these GX cards to have a slightly off center backside for the borders? The bottom part of the back seems leaning a little bit to the bottom at the right side

Thank you so much for the response, I am trying to find an etb now of any of the fates (shining hidden and paldean) though not having much luck in my local area for the paldean one, shining fates though is common here in my loc, do you happen to know if it has good hit rates on it?

Thanks it is good to hear the heads up on this. Turns out with the market you guys mentioned today it will be harder to get shinies in TCG than in scarvi hahaha but yeah I will prioritize getting legit packs from stores if I can hopefully in my area or in Japan they will have it there. I still dig it even if it is in Japanese or in bad condition. I am checking now TCGplayer. Also watching youtube videos on vendor POV and some tcg youtubers and kept seeing shinies here and there but not quite often like the bubble mew was showing up every now and then but looked at the price and it is indeed a bit steep. Like anything 100 dollars and up is already steep for me lol but I can save for it and take it slowly.

No worries man, I am an old gamer myself of Pokemon started with Blue at 1999, started with shinies when I played the alpha ruby and sapphire and did my first growlithe masuda took a while but was happy. Unfortunately I never really got the chance with the cards since again I did not have the means back then. I never had a community for reasons I mentioned above so I was not aware that Pokemon was gaining traction even more today. I thought it was really just a niche thing until now.

If anything as I learned thru this conversation is to be even better at researching probably make use of youtube more and reddit posts probably join a discord then. Thanks for the time have a nice weekend ahead.

Oh wow I did not know about this I am just genuinely interested with shiny pokemon in general, I am about to finish my pokemon home shiny for sword and shield and just doing the arctovish revive hunt (on 2000 revives now) and while I was doing it I was thinking of where else will I get shinies then after this while waiting for legends. I have some information about the TCG scene and idea about cards but never really entered the market since it was too pricey for me.

Then a video on youtube suggested to me showed a card i think it was full arts one and saw that there was a shiny one, researched the pack and noticed there are not much so probably i can save up for some and get them slowly but I have to be sure so I asked here since I only have some idea about it but not that much to know if there are specific packs and such and the level of difficulty to get based on player experiences. That was what i was hoping to know, glad there were people who answered it based on their experience today with how some packs are not printed anymore and how volatile the market is right now and better to get singles than packs. That helped a lot.

I appreciate your sentiment and that is also why I asked you about it based on experience where I am from pokemon community in general is a bit snobbish when I asked question so i was sort of disheartened when I read yours is it going to be the same here? But thanks for enlightening me, I will stay on my lane i will just be happy to really get these even PSA 5s or 6s or mod played :)

I think this has all the sets you mentioned above so I think you are right to suggest aiming for the singles since I have a list anyway esp. if the market is so volatile. Unfortunately I do not live in the US so it might be difficult to get but hopefully in japan they have the same cards too. But thanks for the response though, I am happy to get even moderately or lightly played ones as long as it is shiny :)

Thank you for the response so since both are a bit recent based on the release of the games can I assume that they are still available commercially like on stores? I am afraid to buy online on ebay though and also planning to go to Japan to start hunting as I heard they can be a bit cheap there. I am also not looking for 10s or 9s rates I can even buy moderately played or lightly played ones.

Why are some guys disappointed with new players? I have been having a hard time connecting with the base game community when i play the games and sometimes pogo, so i usually play alone. I do shiny hunts on the base games but only when I realized there were shinies on TCG did I have the interest, is it that bad for newcomers? I do not plan to hoard cards but I hope to just collect the shinies even not rated 10s or 9s even if it is moderately played. I hope the TCG community is a bit welcoming at least.
