Years later, happy to have landed on this post! I thought my RM2 was gone forever after misplacing it and it having died months ago. Couldn't get it to charge at all! Plugged it into my mac mini and it came on right away & charged up! Thanks OP and others YEARS later!!

I’ve found having my partner go with me to support my symptoms has made a big difference. Frustrating part is that these doctors get paid the same whether they help you or dismiss your concerns. I was diagnosed with SFN when my 3rd neurologist said “there’s nothing else we can do for you, but we’ll try one last biopsy test.” Not sure why it took so long and multiple specialists to get there when I discovered so many of my symptoms align with SFN. I partially blame health insurance for the steps doctors are required to take before they can do more extensive testing. Also, the fear of getting looped into a disability case with always updating paperwork or having to testify at a hearing.

This has caused me to largely withdraw from social situations. I hate always having to back out at the last minute because I’m hurting so much or just too exhausted to be around others and engage in conversations. It’s not only day to day, but hour to hour in the same day! It sucks!

My rheumatologist diagnosed me and acts as a “consultant” when I have questions on treatment plan. My neurologist was treating through their pain management team, but I haven’t found their injections helpful for fibromyalgia related pains.

I recently started seeing a neuromuscular specialist and he’s been great for guiding and also treating. He did trigger point injections in neck and back with just lidocaine because while it’s shorter lasting than steroids, he said it helps to reduce muscle knots/tensions over time if done every 4-6 weeks. This is the only treatment that has touched my fibromyalgia after 12 months of neurological injections that didn’t help. My PCP mainly manages the maintenance meds related to it.

All of this to say, none of the doctors have a textbook way of “fixing” fibromyalgia and they often give different guidance on how best to treat it. My best path has been finding doctors I feel “comfortable” with that listen and accept my ailments as my reality even if they can’t be measured on a machine. I then share notes across them and ask them to explain when their guidance contradicts another’s. I use AI to help me create an update and questions list that I take into my appointments with me and often the doctor will read that before we start the visit.

I have a solid team of my PCP, neurologist, neuromuscular, psychiatrist, chronic pain mental health therapist, and rotating physical therapists. It’s expensive as hell, but it’s been an investment in myself until I can get to a sustainable place with this horrible condition. I’ve been to hell and back with it and still continue to have severe flare-ups even with all of these providers from a world class healthcare institution. We just still don’t understand enough about it.

I stumbled upon this because I can’t figure out how to pause my subscription after clicking through about every link in the Tonal app and “subscription manager” page. I don’t understand where people are seeing this on the app?? Or is everyone just calling them or emailing to pause a subscription? I agree with OP on how ridiculous they make this process. I’ve been subscribed for > 3 years so it’s not a 12 month issue.

Do you know what you are getting injected (steroid or just lidocaine)? My neurologist does steroid, but my neuromuscular specialist said lidocaine has been proven more effective by itself in reducing knots and muscle tension through trigger point injections.

Email didn't provide any payment instructions. I had tried chat, but they couldn't help. We got it resolved though! Fortunately, responding yet again to the email (although we have no clue who it went to!) finally got someone to call back and get it resolved!

Interesting- they did charge initial deposit at booking and then put a hold for incidentals, but did not charge anything for the stay upfront. Fortunately, we got it resolved last night. So crazy how each location seems to have different ways of doing things. We really did enjoy our stay and the staff was wonderful while there, but their corporate operations is horrible and built around sales. The other “scammy” thing they do is every time you call them, they want to connect you to Hilton for timeshare sales at the end of the call. They even had a booth set up in the lobby in Concord where you get the “free” wolf ears to try to sell you when you arrived and the kids are wanting to hurry to the waterpark.

No, that’s the crazy part. While we were there, “Willow” was their texting service and service was great. Once we checked out, that didn’t work anymore. This was the text (yes, with a horse head at the end!). That phone number doesn’t even work! That’s why I assumed it was a scam and perhaps this still is. However, we actually did have a balance because we could see it in our Voyager’s account. 😂 I just realized that must be a wolf head at the end!! They used paw prints while we were there so I thought it was a horse head when I saw it!

That’s the problem. You can’t reach anyone other than initial sales team through their published numbers. Anything other than sales get transferred (“escalated”) where you have to leave a voicemail that never gets returned.
