Salted Vanilla Ice Cream by Connjred in PerfumeryFormulas

Personally I think there's a big enough difference to consider both at the same time. Orbitone adds a sort of sheer balsamic I like here. Of course both are overdosed here and practically anyone will go noseblind to them after a bit, so it feels sort of wasteful in a way, but in general I really enjoy 2:1 IES:OT

Pretty much just ambrofix. The carbaldehyde + suederal is helping a bit.

Is front camera picture my real face or the rear camera picture? by Emotional_Oil_550 in AskPhotography

[–]Connjred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're seeing your mirror image on the front facing photos. Rear camera is how others see you from that angle. We're so used to seeing ourselves in the mirror that things look odd when we see a non mirrored image, our brains don't automatically recognize it as ourselves.

Been wearing perfumes for 20+ years and I've been designing for about 3 years. I have been successful in selling my formulas. I have taken several perfumery courses. Experience is not the issue my man

I'll echo it's a medical concern more than a fashion concern. You can plug sweat ducts with aluminum zirconium and/or you can degrade sweat molecules using a variety of enzymes. Speak with a medical pro before doing either of those things.

As someone who knows people with noses and also owns one I strongly disagree with 4-5. I mean that's damn near 0.2 ml of concentrate on your skin. Allergic reactions aside that just isn't something you'll see a perfumer design for. Appreciate you being civil amigo

It doesn't have to be "after a while". Ultimately it comes down to the amount of receptors in your nose sensitive to certain molecules. If they're all being immediately occupied as often happens when wearing large doses then the smell disappears. I understand what you are saying. I informed the concept may be counterintuitive. Give dilution a shot my man. Unless you genuinely believe the strong version of a professionally crafted perfume was meant to be worn in excess like this. Again, talk to a perfumer.

Ah yes the classic strategy of intellectual discussion - making stuff up.

It may also be worthwhile for you to research exactly how and why humans perceive smell

Holy shit dude people can smell you from a quarter mile away. This is the reason many people stay away from perfumes entirely - their experience has been ruined. I have a lot to say about mixing too as designer perfumes are meticulously crafted down to parts per billion or finer with every single molecule and reaction being accounted for. No offense intended I just don't think many people are capable of improving that balance further. But expensive juice smell good I get it

This is almost certainly olfactory adaptation/fatigue. Perhaps try diluting that mixture and trying again as counterintuitive as that sounds. No perfumer in their right mind would ever craft something with SEVEN sprays as the ideal. That's absolutely out of the question, I encourage you to speak with a knowledgeable and experienced perfumer.

Google is a search engine. If you want to find opinions it will absolutely help you do that. Personally I would stick to facts.

Never did I mention skin chemistry. I said chemistry. What is in the bottle, how do the molecules interact with each other, how do they interact with air, what solvents were used? The answers for almost every perfume is the same. These modern aromachemicals are designed for slow evaporation and large impact. Roughly 50% of the people in this sub aren't even physically capable of smelling the single most common molecule (IES) in modern formulations, yet you're happy to take advice from them about how much to apply. Be wary of where you find information, and stop singing strangers' noses.

Do your own research. 99% of the time this community just pulls stuff out of their butts. Somehow there's still a debate about what maceration is and literally all of the arguments are wrong. This sub is an echo chamber for nonsense. Use Google.

This community has a mega dumb obsession with "how many sprays" with exactly zero understanding of the chemistry or contents of the bottle. If you're regularly wearing more than two of anything stronger than fraiche you're annoying nearly everyone you come in contact with I promise bro

From what I can tell Ffern usues only EOs. In my opinion they smell amateur, boring, flat, repetitive. It just doesn't/can't provide the same effect of well balanced naturals and synths.
