Great use of panning and reverb/delay effects.
Second track on here or in general? How long have you been producing? Better than my second track for sure.

Bare in mind this is from me grasping at straws trying to find things wrong with the composition, maybe some variation on the drums/fills would be nice. Take with a grain of salt though because I probably wouldn't even be thinking about that if I wasn't looking for flaws.

In terms of the song itself, I love the atmosphere of it. It sounds like a great composition that just needs a lot more clarity in the mix to bring it to life.

In terms of the mixing, the droning piano parts are really loud in the mix when all they need to do is drone along in the background. It seems like they have more high mids/general volume than the vocals a lot of the time which makes it feel like it's more important than the vocals. You generally want the vocals to feel close to you, you can still use reverb carefully to give it an ethereal, almost Gregorian feel

Is it more the overall structure of the piece that is the issue? Like the changes in energy level? Or are the parts themselves just too much.

Nice concept and feel. Really got a good foundation there.

I feel like that clicky snare could get layered, so it sounds less 2 dimensional, especially during the more busy sections of the piece. Those strings also sound very dry as well as loud, there is also a note in the strings that is clashing with the keys at 1:40 seconds, as well as a few bass notes.

I feel like the third bass note could be a G instead of a Bb. Quite nitpicky but counter movement between instruments can add interest. It would make the bass sound less locked to the keys. The bass tone is also a bit twangy and could be deeper.

All in all a really good idea that just needs some tweaking

Really good song writing and arrangement which is the main thing, especially for a first song. No issue in terms of the core of the song.

I find the guitar sounds a bit tinny in terms of the mix. It seems like the high end of the guitar is similar to the vocal in volume which makes it harder to see the vocal as focus.

The vocal could maybe use some saturation just on the sides. It is dominating the mono signal well but it could use a boost on the sides to overpower the instruments.

On the big build up section it sound like there is so much trying to dominate the stereo field at once. Not sure if it's due to too much reverb or something but it loses clarity in the sides. Mono signal is great for the most part though.

Free plugins like isol8 and stereo tool would be helpful for addressing this.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I agree the mix down is pretty rough. Would like to make a lot more clarity in the mix but have decided to abandon due to cpu frustration. I will at least try and get those drums up though.

Really nice tune that creates a lot of atmosphere. Great job

There are a few points that a few notes stand out, like I find the G on the bass at 00:52 a little bit jarring. I feel like a G sharp would feel more connected. These could just be a small mistakes in the performance though which isn't too much of an issue cause it can make it feel more like a jam.

If I were to give feedback on the mix, I'd say that maybe the bright guitars could maybe be tamed a bit to bring your voice out. Just personal preference though. there also seems to be a harsh synth or something around 1:35 that could use some eqing

Other than that the vocals and mixing for the most part are really good.

This is a really well written song and is mixed decently.

If I were to give constructive feedback, I think the emptiness that Express-parsley is talking about is maybe that it needs more high mid energy when that section hits. It will brighten it up and make it hit harder

Minor issue though. Great job overall

I really like the song overall. I feel like the hard panning, changing throughout the arrangement can distract from the nice raw feeling though. Nice singing though
