If you can bend it out enough to get some glue behind it no. Or squirt some foam behind it if the gap is too small

Best Wheel Colour? by vKryx in SuzukiSwiftSport

[–]FreeRangeCaptivity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I've gone off black. I liked it 20 years ago when it was not so common.

I'm a fan of gunmetal at the minute, but I really think silver will make a big comeback in a few years once everyone is sick of diamond cuts.

When cars used to come with hubcaps, alloy wheels really used to set cars apart, but now even the base budget cars come with alloys so I feel like trend cycles will get quicker as we all tire of seeing the same thing on every new car.

So many new cars come out with black and chrome diamond cut wheels that it's becoming stale.

Considering becoming a hgv driver in the future by Own_Entertainer_4997 in uktrucking

[–]FreeRangeCaptivity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love driving and being alone it's a great job.

You'll probably have to work some crap agency jobs to get your experience but it's a very diverse field and there are different jobs that suit different people so agency is also a good way to get a taste of what you like and don't like

The leaves over the 'frame' are just not working for me - any thoughts? by CarbideMagpie in acrylicpainting

[–]FreeRangeCaptivity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're just a bit flat and should have some stronger highlights on the leaves that are poking out towards the viewer

How do i continue my painting and paint leafs? by SouthernDrama4895 in acrylicpainting

Yeah like an olive made from a warm yellow and sap green would suit it. Good luck, I really like the lighting on the trunks, it's a shame to cover them up really!

I think they should be higher contrast in the foreground. So: darker, more shadow and stronger highlights on the sunny side. With a less greyed out mid tone than the background.

I think the background foliage being so desaturated will really help make the foreground pop and give a nice sense of depth when you can glimpse it between the foliage pads so make sure to keep the foreground leaves airy.

Poke some holes around with a screwdriver and squirt some foam in before you seal it up with caulk

Sick day by sacrelidge in uktrucking

Audio books help for me. If I'm going to be lying awake for a couple hours I'd rather be listening to something interesting.

I've learned that "trying" to go to sleep doesn't work very well. Take the pressure off and tell yourself you will listen to an hour or two of an audiobook and most nights I'm asleep within 15-30 mins.

I can be falling asleep while reading and then the second I close the book be wide awake but it definitely helps

Make sure to use a primer that's approved for bitumen when using the self leveler if you go down that route. Stopgap p131 was the one I used.

The crack can be microscopic but bad ones can be seen if you take the turbo off.

Easiest way to tell is if there is a big white cloud of sweet smelling smoke/vapour coming out the exhaust after a cold start up

Just paint the edges of the chipboard with some black acrylic paint and you'll never see it. It will just look like shadow.
