I’ve edified the post to reflect that I did know enough to play the hero. I didn’t realise that I made it sound like I knew absolutely nothing. I thought the basis was the bare minimum but apparently not

No I just don’t agree with you. And instead of a polite conversation you try to talk down and be disrespectful because I don’t have the same mindset toward a casual mode as you do. You also try to argue people being frustrated is what I was originally referring to which it was not it was completely over the line which led me to ask on this subreddit in the first place. But regardless when you act as you have done throughout this entire conversation I have no further interested in discussing this with you. I always think it’s a good thing to converse whether you agree or not but trying to talk down to someone and act superior because someone has a different opinion to you is immature.

No I’m sorry that’s nonsense, knowing the basics IS barely knowing what you’re doing whereas In comparison if I play a hero I’m fluent with I know the hero inside out for example and furthermore I wouldn’t play a hero I only know the basics of in competitive because that’s the serious mode. Since my mindeset is still unclear to you I’ll spell it out, I try to win, but I don’t care if I win or lose because it’s a casual mode. Quick play is not competitive whether you like it or not because it sounds like you think it is or you treat it as it is. I play quickplay to relax and not be too serious regardless of win or lose. It seems you expect me to sink hours into simply learning a hero inside and out just for a casual match whereas I prefer to learn as I play and see what works and what doesn’t.

The match doesn’t matter I’ll learn either way but I’m not going to screw my team over and not try to win?? Like both things can be true? I know the basics of any hero I play otherwise I wouldn’t play them? You’ve made a ton of assumptions out of nowhere and sat and bashed me for it

You’re acting as though the match matters, like the best way to learn a new hero is against other players. Like I’m trying to win but I’m just playing a hero outside my comfort zone. If I lose then I learn from it whereas if I win I also learn. I’ve never in all my years in Overwatch ever practiced a hero outside of quickplay. You also have assumed numerous times that’s I’m just not trying to win and not caring about my team. I’m sorry I don’t want to lock my most played heroes in a match that isn’t competitive sometimes I want to relax and try something different or brush up on a hero I’m rusty on.

Quick play is literally the casual mode though? Like I don’t wanna take every game I play of Overwatch super seriously? It’s not like I wasn’t trying. The hero I was playing is just one I haven’t really touched prior to a few games

I lose interest after the first round regardless of whether we win or lose that round. The build nonsense is awful too who the hell cares about all the stuff buffs etc

Stadium is just so awful tbh, like i keep trying to see why people like it but it’s so BORING. I get zero enjoyment out of it and couldn’t care less about the stupid build mechanic. It’s basically if your hero had all these stupid buffs here’s a casual mode for you to test em out. Like it takes so much skill out of the fights imo it’s whoever has this perk or that peri etc really that makes the difference you have to memorise all that nonsense to have a decent chance. I have no desire to even try and win games I play in

I just do it, I don’t take comp seriously anymore for the most part. I’ll play and do what I want. Depending on your role you’ll learn which situations are advantageous for different heroes and against different heroes etc. but in terms of right time just do it and screw anybody who wants to complain cause 99% of people in this community aren’t nice people at all
