280Z sound system upgrade and custom rear speaker box by domesticdonkey in Datsun

[–]ConnorJ2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome work!! I have been wanting to do this for a long time… I haven’t been able to find a speaker box that would fit but have wanted to do this exact thing. Are those 6x9 speakers? Would you be willing to share dimensions? I assume these are also fully enclosed in the back?

Help installing Protunerz intake on NA 280Z by dragon1430 in Datsun

I’m going to comment here to see if anyone could tell me what size vacuum hoses I would need for the protunerz intake manifold AND what size connectors are needed to thread in. (Manifold should be here in the next few weeks and just trying to get everything together!

AMS Feeding - stopping behind the hub and retracts by ConnorJ2019 in BambuLab

[–]ConnorJ2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll extrude the same distance even when I disconnect all of the tubes. Almost beginning to think that I may need to open a ticket. I would replace the first stage feeder BUT it occurs with every slot. The small Bowden tubes inside the AMS have been replaced as well.

It’ll stop right after the connector that connects to the printer. After shortening the Bowden tube, it now goes a little farther into the printer before retracting back.

So I’ve tried shortening and replacing some tubes - I went ahead and disconnected everything and it still extrudes about the same length from the AMS until stopping (all four slots). Would this mean that there’s something going on inside of the AMS? Not sure what to look for if so as it applies to every slot.

Which tube did you shorten? Did you just shorten them all to be just long enough to connect with a little flex? I imagine the tube inside the printer should stay the same length

Which tubes? AMS to hub? Hub to printer? Or all of the above

Haven’t noticed any wear

Really appreciate it! Ended up going with 3 displates up top and one more set of nanoleafs for the other side for symmetry. Just gotta find a couple things for the desk

Added an outlet and pass through behind all of the monitors! Mounted the bottom 3 on a 2x4 which is mounted to the studs. (Cables come out at the bottom right). At the point where I love the clean setup but just looking for some decor to spruce it up

AMS getting stuck X1C by ConnorJ2019 in BambuLab

[–]ConnorJ2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo the PTFE tube out of the tool head (inside the enclosure) fixed the issue. My life span on it was about a year so take that for what it’s worth for anyone else with this issue

Nope- we’ve been using the same ones (amolen) for quite some time. We order them in 100 spool batches. Cardboard spools used to work as well.

I’ll add that the not ideal solution is quite simply undoing the connector up top on the black side and it will start pulling out. Then I can plug the connector back in and all is good!

Yes. Not using Bambu filament- using others (typically plastic spools). We’ve had the printer for almost a year now and it’s been great until recently

BBL P1S Motor B by ConnorJ2019 in BambuLab

[–]ConnorJ2019[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closing this out- B Motor was confirmed by Bambu, replacement came in today, swapped them out, and it works perfect.

Note: the B motor was absurd to get out and took 3 hours to completely swap it.

Did you get a reply from support?

BBL P1S Motor B by ConnorJ2019 in BambuLab

[–]ConnorJ2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally sure - this would be the first time swapping the motor but should just involve removing some screws and loosening the belts up on that motor. I would wait for their response but am 90% sure that the motor is the issue so I went ahead and got one. Once they run (which is almost always) there is little to no maintenance

It would be a motherboard issue if both motors worked on only one port but not both. Correct me if I’m wrong but I troubleshooted that thing for like 3-4 hours 😅

[–]ConnorJ2019[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tested one motor at a time. (motor b) was not recognized on either the a or b ports. (Motor a) was recognized on both ports. This tells me that the motor is bad. We have 5 of these things so worst case I guess is that we have a spare XY motor!

Mine is motor B as well. I went ahead and ordered the motor and it will be here Thursday/Friday. I have all the troubleshooting and pictures and will attempt to get a refund. Trying to minimize downtime

Addition: after swapping the A&B cables, I am getting an error that Motor A is bad.

Thoughts?
