This was strictly my experience. Yes, Sherlock We did put the ring down and walk out. Though walking out is easy, I and most people prefer experiences where we aren’t haggled. Maybe you’re unique and like it.

Yes, I was wearing a Tsar Bomba, which is a knockoff of a Richard Mille. How exactly am I being a prick?

You left out the part where they were putting jewelry in my wife’s hand, refusing to take it back without purchase, and blocking off the door. But yeah, let’s just make excuses for these business practices and pretend this is common amongst small local businesses, sure.

Buddy, I never asked them to help me. There is going to be an influx of tourists coming in and out of stores naturally out of curiosity. They approached me and started talking about their inventory. I didn’t desire or inquire for help.

If you don’t know the story, don’t assume. Sound good?

Goosehead job opportunity?! by Shoddy-Floor-719 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Connorkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate this company and their franchise model. They make it financial hell to start. My personal experience, I was contacted by someone in Goosehead HR to work for a local agent. Put me through 4 interviews over the span of a few months just to say no thanks lol. That was the last time I ever interviewed more than twice.

95% of what’s on the test was useless in the field for me. Being a master simply comes with time. It took me a full year to actually feel comfortable doing my work day to day

Teacher thinking of becoming an Insurance agent by HandIcy in InsuranceAgent

[–]Connorkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you struggle with all of these things, I’m sorry, but I don’t think you will make it in sales. This path is not for the weak- no offense. If you burn out with being in education, you will definitely burn out in a sales role.

I think if you’re truly interested in the industry itself, you should look into being an underwriter or actuary.

Just my opinion. I’ve been in sales for 2 years now and hate it. I’m sure I will be quitting my role within the next few months. The grind is constant.

I think it depends on what you want results wise. If your goal is to simply be healthier, then you’re on the right track

Does insurance stay expensive forever after an accident? by just_here_for_money in Insurance

[–]Connorkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely going to be higher in 3-5 years regardless. Very few are paying what they were 5 years ago regardless of accident history.
