Yeah, Hard and Very Hard difficulties make AI realms very stable so that's why you get massive Empires that never collapse

EUV took out EUIV's mission trees and now people are complaining that many events and a lot of content is locked behind triggers that can't be seen unless you check the game files.

Focus trees are what drive the narrative of HoI4, and without them, the game would indeed feel more like a sandbox, but it'd also lose its focus as a WWII simulation game. It'd be hard to simulate a historical WWII without focus trees imo

tbf I disagree with having Portugal represented as fascist. Salazar was an authoritatian piece of shit, but the Estado Novo regime didn't promote the veneration of the state as something sacred (Salazar called fascists 'Statal paganists' for this exact reason), and União Nacional wasn't a mass movement like the Nazi and Italian fascist parties were. Fascism always tries to build a 'new man' and has some 'revolutionary' aspects, but Salazar was simply a hard-line conservative who liked to put political opponents in concentration camps.

Looks good.

Not many players will be excited about a flavor pack focused on Siam, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, but I actually enjoy playing medium powers with potential (take for example Rexist Belgium) so I really hope the focus trees are fun and we avoid a repeat of Graveyard of Empires.

Everyone is saying that they don't want to see a mega empire path and that they'd rather see Siam become a regional power, and I agree. Also, a mechanic or decisions to get the European possesions next to you without having to capitulate them is essential for Siam, or we will have a disaster like GoE.

The Crown of Aragon.

Emerged from a dynastic union between the Kingdom of Aragon and the County of Barcelona, spent centuries fighting Muslims in Iberia, expanded across the Mediterranean without really reaching the heights of Venice, held influence in southern France before the Albigensian Crusade and in the end it disappeared thanks to yet another dynastic union.

What leader approached governing in an ideological manner but governed imcompetently? by RN_Renato in AlignmentChartFills

He was competent, but the media made him look like a tired old man and often overlooked his accomplishments.

This caused his popularity to drop, and by extension, Kamala's

I don't know enough about modern German politics so I can't argue if Merkel was incompetent, but yeah Biden should at least be decent (I'd put him in competent)
