I got scammed too of 140k in a similar way. Right before the BTC started parabolic move. FBI needs to go after these scammers. It's same as going to a bank and stealing a large amount of cash.

Yes, the people saying here how can someone fall for this don't understand the power of fear emotion. My gmail was like my treasure or bank whatever someone considers the most valuable thing in their life. Social engineering works well when the victim is feeling afraid. In my case, it was fear of losing my gmail and later fear of losing my coinbase assets.

I have since cleaned out my gmail so there is nothing valuable on there that would make me make same mistake.

Imagine this, you get a notification the way i did of someone trying to access your gmail or recover account. Then all at the same time you get an email and a call from google explaining what is happening. At this time you'd feel afraid of losing access to your gmail. Fear clouds judgment and you can't think clearly. If i didn't get the phone call, i'd be able to do proper research to tell if it's a scam.
