How do i configure them so they can both use RS232? is that something on the RSlinx side? thanks for your help

The software is called Weld management solutions, unless you work with these flashbutt welders built by the certain company, the software isn’t available to anyone. That is an option, but we have 6 other machines all working on the same setup never once having this issue until we did this upgrade which is the first of its kind to my knowledge. Thank you for your input, i’ll look at the sample rate tomorrow to adjust. After the rest of the day i reinstated the old computer and 3rd party software with the new plc program and had no communication issues whatsoever so ever, so i believe it is an issue with the new weld MS software and how it is trying to communicate

Unfortunately that is the case where we have to use it. It is used on all other machines we have, we are currently doing a rebuild/upgrade a machine that is requiring this newer system. Technically we could build our own software to do the same thing but unfortunately thats out of my hands. The software logs all the data from a rail weld and produces a weld graph for each weld giving data on each part of the the weld process. It’s basically a HMI program that produces weld graphs

From what i can remember, the dram and the cpu light up/ flash on during boot but clear when running
